[Remy waits at the buffet's entrance for his friend. He worries that maybe he should have gone to his room anyway to guide him there but...hell he guessed Glaukir knew how to get around on his own now. He's never once actually asked for the help Remy's offered.]
[Glaukir makes his way to the buffet. It's not hard now that he's made a mental map of the floors he visits the most and if his hand weren't trailing on the wall and he weren't whispering quiet counts to himself of how many steps, how many doorways passed, he wouldn't look blind at all.
[He resists the urge to wave as he approaches the priest. It hurts him to see Glaukir like this. It reminds him of how he couldn't be there to prevent it from happening. He places a gentle hand on his shoulder.]
I kept you like a pet mushroom; in the dark and fed bullshit. Okay? I did it on purpose and I did it to protect people. Haellyn only killed me that one time because I let my guard down, but I'm prepared for him now.
[He squeezes the hand on his shoulder.]
You were kept in the dark, so you mustn't blame youself.
[His sentence stops midway as the rest of the priest's words sink in. What has Glaukir been keeping from him? How could he keep something from him? It wasn't fair as all of Remy's secrets were on display. His question is deathly calm.]
[Remy goes in for a light hug as his hand is squeezed. It isn't as intimate as their ones previous. He doesn't want to start down that trail again, but at least hearing Glaukir's laugh has somewhat brightened his mood.]
[Knock knock]

...thanks for coming.

[He places his hand overtop Remy's. He can't help but let the relief show in his voice and he ducks his head for a minute.]
Didn't go well with Dawnshore. He's made pacts with demons and he's--doing some pretty vile things. I nearly lost my temper.

At the mention of his previous meeting Remy shakes his head]
You need to stay away from him. He killed you. He...he made you go blind. You need to be careful, Kir. Especially with...
[his voice caught in his throat. His broken promise. It had to come up sometime]
...especially with Erol out again. Damn it, I'm so sorry.

[He ducks his head again, exhaling.]

What have you been keeping from me?

[Glaukir takes a breath, lets it out slowly.]
But I wanted to protect you, too. I was worried if I told you about the blindness you'd go off half-cocked and get yourself killed.

[Well shit, he had a point. Still, some part of him was warmed by Glaukir's concern]
You were that worried about me?
[He wanted to see if he could lighten the mood some at least and so, gives a chuckle]
Heh. Kir, come on, I'm hard to kill.

[Glaukir breathes out a laugh and squeezes the hand under his.]
I know. You're no slouch, both physically and mentally. I certainly wouldn't want you after my blood. Shall we eat?

Yeah, I'm hungry.
[He looks over to the buffet and sees turkey]
Hey! Turkey! Did you get to try any?

[He hugs Remy easily and he's surprised by how utterly non-awkward it is. Glaukir smiles again, a heartfelt smile.]
Could I trouble you to help me get a plate?

[Dude, Kir, he's already working on it]
Capris is a very lovely woman. Glad you got to meet her.
[He piles a few good slices of white meat for his friend]
Turkey is probably my favorite food. Annual thing to eat them in July. It was always a big event and I got to be social so...I guess that's why.

[Glaukir can smell the food and his stomach lurches, growls. He laughs, a bit embarrassed.]
Excuse me.
