Olympics!!!

The opening ceremony was okay.  I liked them making the ring in the industrial age, but it took a really long time and it was all really bizarre.  They created the one ring.  I get it.  This is Mordor.  I was all for J. K. Rowling reading!!  That was exciting but she only read for like a minute.  I would have listened to her for hours. She could have narrated the whole thing or read from the phone book.  I wish they had her on for longer.  The literary segment could have been so much better and longer.  I loved the villains (Queen of Hearts, Captain Hook, Voldemort!, Cruella de Ville) and they could have done so many awesome things.  How they lit the torch was awesome.  I loved that each of the countries had a copper leaf they brought in and that the combination of those together was the torch.  It looked really cool.  The fact that it looked like the eye of Sauron from the bottom kinda just supports my claim that we are in the lord of the rings.  I was touched when Paul McCartney got choked up during Hey, Jude.  The ending was good.
