Self-discipline.

Oh my goodness! I might actually fix my sleep schedule after today. I went to bed at 11:30 pm or so and woke up at 5:00 in the morning. This is quite a victory, considering that I've been going to sleep at around 5:00 am and getting up around 11:00 am. I'm not sure how I'm surviving on such a meager amount of sleep, so I'm probably going to try to stretch it out until I'm getting closer to 7-8 hours.

The Bay Area is great in a lot of ways. There are a lot of jobs around here. The public transit seems decent, though I'm planning on trying to sever my dependence on it somewhat. There are also an unbelievable number of fish stores and Indian restaurants right around the apartment. This makes me happy, even though I don't have any money at the moment. There's a pretty little park a few blocks away that I like sitting in.

I'm keeping busy, but I miss working. I have a hard time staying focused when I'm at home and it isn't 'real work' that I'm trying to get done. I'm hoping to develop a little more self-discipline when it comes to working on personal projects, so I guess this is practice.
