Last call for camping! June 12-14!
K, so the camping trip is in less than two weeks. Drew, sami and I are all confirmed, Mike, Ryan, Bev and Nathan are unconfirmed. I need confirmations BY FRIDAY so I can figure out what size of car to rent (a van is ridiculously expensive!) I also need to know if you are taking your own car. We can only have two on the site so we will need to work out transportation arangements.
The site is $75.50 (plus $10.00 if we bring two cars)
Food will be simple. We usually eat two meals instead of three and snack the rest of the time. I'm thinking egg mcmuffins, hot dogs, pancakes and hamburgers. S'mores for desert. Chips and stuff. Anyone have any other ideas?
Alcohol is the only personal expence. All else is shared. I will put everything INCLUDING EVERYONE'S GAS on my empty credit card and we'll divide it up after.
Shall we rent a canoe? I know this was something we wanted to do last time, and I think we should - for the two days, otherwise we won't get good use of it. Our campsite has a great beaching point for it.
I don't know how much gas'll be, but it's a bit over 200 km between Winnipeg and Rushing River. The drive is about 2 1/2 hours, so we should leave as soon as we can on Friday. What is the earliest everyone can leave?
As for equipment, everyone needs to bring their own tent, sleeping bag, air mattress. I will bring camp stoves and we'll buy propane on the shared card. We'll buy firewood at the park.
