I'd like to thank you all again for the birthday wishes. It went...alright. The weather sucked ass, and I worked and attended class all day. But Tony and Anthony got me some kimono fabric bolts as gifts, and I got a few gift cards from other friends. Tony also took me to the Cheesecake Factory for dinner. The assistant manager working there was an ass because he kept moving our reservation down the waiting list to let all the late comers get called ahead of us. Anthony used to work at a restaurant, and he explained that some restaurants have fucked up policies where the manager can pick and choose which customer can go ahead before others based on how "well-off" they look, and who will possibly tip better. It's terribly shallow and awful customer service, but what can you do? Fortunately, this was our only bad experience at the Cheesecake Factory, and we've been coming here for over the past three years. Our waitress was great, so I tipped her well. I always tip well ($5.00 or 20%, which ever is higher) if the service is exceptional. The food and cocktails were delicious and I got to take home a big slice of fudgy chocolate cake for dessert.
