An afternoon at Fisherman's Wharf

Aug 26, 2007 23:42

Just feelin' bored today, so I went out for some fresh air, a bit of exercise...and took some photos while I was at it.

"Bush Man," as the locals call him, is a homeless guy who carts around some foliage and hides behind it, only to jump out and scare unsuspecting passerbys. I gave him a dollar because he was awesome.

Scenic shot of the North Bay, Alcatraz and some boats.

I also watched some hella sweet break dancing at the wharf, including a guy break dancing in a three-piece suit. There was some weirdo who kept yelling, "Hey cutie, I love you!!" to me, to which I ignored and went about my business.

In other news, the guys and I went out to see Mr. Bean's Holiday last night, which was great. We also went to a nearby Mediterranean restaurant/hookah lounge for dinner afterwards. The smoking section was cramped during most of our time there, but it was fine otherwise. Had a nice conversation with a couple of tourists from Idaho who sat at the adjacent table. I would love to get my own hookah someday, maybe a five-hose kind for when guests come over.
