Who: Itachi and Kisame
Where: Harbor warehouse
When: Early Friday morning
Warnings: mentionings of violence, the usual when it deals with these two.
Itachi: Long had been his nights of recently, and long had been his days. Lacking time or the will for sleep, Itachi had been on the go for a few days straight, nearing half a week. The lines under his eyes were more prominent now than ever, and he was still dressed in the attire he had worn out last night when he'd gone drinking with Yoruichi. The black and red pinstripe shirt was slightly creased now in odd places, but he hardly cared as he bounded out of his car and into the warehouse quietly where he'd agreed to meet with Kisame. It was still somewhat dark and there was a lack of people around. He wondered if the other man was there already or on his way...
Kisame: Kisame had gotten away from work early for once, seeing how the club had been rather quiet and was for once already waiting as the door to warehouse opened. The inside was dark, only the lights from the streets outside shining into the large empty room where Kisame stood leaning against the wall. "On time, as always." He didn't address the other by name, something he automatically refrained from doing whenever they were in the warehouse, a habit of sort.
Itachi: "Punctuality is a good habit to have," replied Itachi as his eyes immediately darted to where the voice had come from. He let the doors close behind him and once more the warehouse was submerged into darkness. And though Itachi's eyes were not as sharp as once they might have been, he had an easy enough time making his way over to a spot near to where Kisame stood in the shadows. "I might have been here sooner, but I've been insanely busy as of lately. So... shall we find a spot to sit?"
Kisame: "Sure." Rather then just nodding at his friend Kisame spoke up before walking over to some crates that were set out. There wasn't any chairs or proof that anyone had been using the warehouse as anything else then just a warehouse, something Kisame had taken upon himself to make sure off when they decided to meet elsewhere. His eyes flickered over his friend and frowned. "How have you been?"
Itachi: Itachi took a seat not too near and not too far from Kisame. He didn't want to raise his voice, though he'd also prefer not to sit on top of the man either. He drew one leg up onto the crate and leaned his arm upon it, back resting against the wall. "...I've been preoccupied. With many things. A lot of thinking."
Kisame: "Thinking will make you grow old before your time." Kisame commented and raised a brow, whatever it was that had his friend thinking it was apparently important as the other man looked really worn.
Itachi: "Yes, and it will have me die early also," said Itachi, red fringed eyes drifting to rest upon the shadowy figure of his companion. He watched Kisame for a moment, then slowly closed his eyes and sighed, head tilting back to hit the wall softly.
Kisame: "Wish to tell me what's bothering you?" Kisame was concerned but he wasn't about to push the issue too hard. He shoved his hands into his pocket and looked at the black haired teen again.
Itachi: "Bothering me... nothing. Nothing that won't be dealt with in due time." Itachi wasn't sure talking about Sasuke would be of much use right now. He still had heard no word from his brother or Naruto, and Deidara hadn't yet gotten back to him with the information he'd requested which was... irritating. To say the least. And so, after a long silence, Itachi said at last, "But I wanted to talk to you about something I had in mind... something I'll need your help in pulling off in about two weeks. At least, I'd prefer to have your help."
Kisame: Leaning forward he nodded, of course he would help. Itachi was one of the few people that he would go out of his way to help even. "Sure. What?" He gruffed out as he curiously wondered what Itachi had in mind this time.
Itachi: "I still want to manage the attack on Aizen's home before this gets pulled off, don't get me wrong, but..." Itachi began, leaning forward as well and dropping his voice to something that was barely even audible, "...after wards, I need to disappear. Entirely. As in... Uchiha Itachi needs to die."
Kisame: Now that was not entirely what he had expected to hear and it did catch him by surprise as his frown deepened. "Okay, how do you want me to help?" He didn't understand it but Itachi had reasons for everything he did.
Itachi: Good ol' Kisame... He very rarely questioned anything Itachi did, and for this Itachi was grateful. The shark-loving man wasn't Itachi's best friend for no reason. "I've spoken with our poison crafting friend first to see if it was possible, and it is. He seems to think so anyways..." Of course Itachi meant Sasori, but he was reluctant just as Kisame was to mention names of those close to them (that hadn't already been mentioned here before) if it was unnecessary. "The plan is a little complicated, but your part is crucial. If you're not there... there might not be any chance for a resurrection so-to-speak."
Kisame: "Okay, what do you want me to do and when?" There was no doubt he would help, and if his role was of such importance then there wasn't even a shadow of a doubt. So poison was the way to do, good, as long as Sasori didn't mess up. And if he did Kisame would make sure that Akatsuki would loose yet another member.
Itachi: "All right... The other night I took some mice to our friend's for testing," Itachi explained. "He will be concocting a poison that will make it seem as though I've died a few hours after I've consumed it, and he'll be perfecting it - I hope - by experimenting on the mice. However, it will need to be untraceable, on top of which I won't be 'dying' by poisoning... not in the public eye anyways. I want to frame Grimmjaw for the murder, make it appear he was the one who brought me down. He's big enough and senseless enough to be suckered into something like this... And I'll need you there to make sure that once I'm down and don't get up... he doesn't really finish me off. Because once that poison kicks in, I'll be out, utterly incapacitated. As for when... it really depends on how long it takes for the poison to be perfected as well as it depending on how long it will take us to make our attack on Aizen's home..." Itachi fell silent again, eyes drifting back to Kisame. There was still... more to say on it all really. Details... This was just an overview more or less.
Kisame: "I see, so you want me to make sure you're down and that he doesn't really kill you. I can do that." It wouldn't be too hard but then again he wasn't sure how Grimmjaw fought, but that could probably be found out given some time.
Itachi: "Precisely," said Itachi, head nodding in agreement. "It wouldn't do me too well to really die... I just need to get out of the spotlight, I need to drop the attachments, I need... to be able to focus on what is at hand without having those close to me targeted. If I'm 'dead' no one will have reason to go after them... and I'll be able to lend my help from behind the scenes with the Akatsuki. I've already been setting things up."
Kisame: "Well planned as always. But then again I would be disappointed otherwise. I'll pick a fight with Grimmjaw before that, I want to see him fight first hand before anything else." As many things when pulling off things like this or anything that involved violence Kisame wanted at least some what of an idea on how the other fought, not having done so with Gin had gotten consequences.
Itachi: "Shouldn't be hard for you to call him out... he's around Tayuya a lot, so just waggle your connections with her in his face and he should come crawling out of the cesspool he lurks in." Itachi shifted to sit at the end of the crate he was on, now no longer leaning back against the wall. "I'll be changing my number soon... or rather picking up a second one. And I've already put into the works an alias for myself." He cleared his throat. This was the part he hadn't told anyone yet as he was still... hesitant over it himself. "It should be interesting, and helpful... I hope. But no one will know except for Akatsuki... My little brother is to never know I'm still alive."
Kisame: "You will be dead to the world. I'll do all I can to make sure of that." Tayuya huh? She kept popping up everywhere he went didn't she, troublesome, annoying woman. Though it did make things a bit easier to lure Grimmjaw out.
Itachi: "There's one other thing. There will be a funeral... and for some time I will really be buried six feet under." Itachi wasn't fond of this part, but it had to be done. It had to be believable. "I will need to be dug up... an antidote given to me for me to wake up." This obviously meant Sasori would have to be there, but he needed someone used to labor as well, and the smaller redhead would hardly be able to lug a stiff body around on top of dig out a grave.
Kisame: "I'll deal with that." Hard labor was his thing after all, though digging something that deep would take time. "How much time will we have?" That was the main issue, time. Yes he could dig a six feet grave himself but...
Itachi: "Not a lot of time." Itachi shook his head regretfully. "You'll need to head to the graveyard a couple hours after nightfall, and since it's summer... it happens much later these days. Also, you'll need to be gone before sun-up, which should be plenty of time, but you'll need to cover up all traces of being there... which is the more time consuming part. Once I'm awake I can assist... but I'll be a little groggy for the first while so it will be difficult."
Kisame: "Hard but it can be done." Alone, perhaps with some help from Sasori. That would give him about four, five hours, it would be cutting it short but seeing how all they would need to dig up was rather loose dirt. Kisame nodded. "It won't be a problem so don't worry about it."
Itachi: "There is... one last important factor," Itachi frowned. This was one of the negatives involved in his plan. "Funding. I will not have the Uchiha legacy at my fingertips anymore, I won't be able to manipulate deals through my name and the money behind it. I will take out a vast sum, have been transferring stuff out for a bit now... and saving it up, but... it will deplete. Eventually. We'll need to be sparing, or find someone willing to work with us that's trustworthy in the meantime... until he shows up and can fund things again."
Kisame: "I'm sure we can work something out, we are after quite a few members." Not to mention Kisame had a rather considerable fond as well, working two jobs and barely spending any money at all. "I guess we will have to turn to blondy if we need something bent along our will."
Itachi: "It should be manageable, but... I'm simply warning you ahead of time before the problem arises." He shrugged, then slipped off the crate to stretch his legs. "Do you have any qualms with the idea whatsoever? I expect you'll throw me some kind words at my funeral, hn?" He grinned a little now.
Kisame: "Kind?" Kisame had to chuckle, he wasn't the best with words and kind ones were definitely not his feat. "I'll do my best. Can't promise it'll be a long and teary one though." Most likely it would be short, to the point and overly blunt. But anything else and people would probably start to wonder.
Itachi: "I'm not expecting you to spout Shakespeare," Itachi said with a soft laugh. "But if things don't work out, this may actually be a real funeral..." He was still very uneasy about trusting Sasori this far. He and the puppet master had never been on easy terms with one another. "In any event, so long as you attend I'll be content. And that much should be believable for the public."
Kisame: "I'll make sure to carry the coffin myself." He nodded and got up from his crate. Of course he would be there... crap, funeral meant suit, he would have to wear a suit again. "If it doesn't work I'll make sure our little red friend joins you shortly afterwards. We don't want you to me too lonesome."
Itachi: "That makes enough sense to me." Running a hand back through his hair, eyes moving towards the windows where light was now filtering in, Itachi frowned. "We best head out before anyone comes round..."
Kisame: "Yes, I need to be at work in..." Kisame looked down at his watch and squinted some to try and see what time it was. "About an hour." It was early then and they'd been there a while. Usually he would have to to get home and change, eat something and look over Samehada but today his routines would not be as such. "You should try and get some sleep, it'll do us no good if you die before you should."
Itachi: "No time... not today, not right now," said Itachi with a frown, a shake of his head as he started towards the warehouse doors. He couldn't sleep... not with still so much left to do, and with still no word on Sasuke. "Another day, Kisame. I won't die until it is time... That is one thing I'll never be early for."
Kisame: "So be it, I'll see you around Itachi-san." Giving the other man a cut nod Kisame started walking off towards the harbor pubs and his own apartment, even if he wouldn't have time for his routines he at least needed to chance, he smelled of beer.
