WTF?!?
After 2 AM the cops showed up banging at the door at my mom's place. Scared the crap out of us cause we were sleeping. Also, my mom at first thought someone had died since that's the usual reason for police banging on your door in the middle of the night if you're a law abiding citizen.
They said her car was involved in a robbery at Walmart 3 hours before and asked all kinds of questions. We were home when the car was supposedly at the crime AND the car was blocked in the driveway by my car. She just got new license plates and I knew that was a bad idea now look at what happens - some idiot or dyslexic f'd up and we end up with this bullcorn. Never would have happened if she hadn't changed the plates. The new ones are a longer string of numbers/letters (7 rather than 6) and shifty people change plates all the time so now with a newer license number this is more likely to happen again. Not to mention some criminal has a similar car/plate number and could go do more bad stuff in the future - although one guy was already arrested they said.
