Age: 16
~*Magical*~ abilities and strengths: She’s pretty knowledgeable and is ok with the unusual. She is also a really good dancer.
How would they use their abilities?: She makes observant statements around the areas she’s in. She’s also in pretty good shape and is a great runner with great flexibility thanks to her dancing background.
Appearance: Kai usually wears a buttoned long sleeved white collared shirt, with a brown vest over it. She sometimes switches from brown capris to shorts to alternate and a brown fedora. She sometimes wears a brown and red strapped backpack caring a single large book. To complete the look, she wears brown ballerina flats for shoes. This outfit is her favorite but she can alternate between her green and white cheerleader outfit, or any outfit with the main choice being of a vest, jacket, or hat.
Background/Personality: Kai is a smart normal Navajo American Indian girl, who lives with her Grandpa Wes in a reservation down in New Mexico. She is a natural born dancer, who is always dancing within the spiritual rituals of her tribe. One day she comes across a family called the Tennysons but is soon caught up in an actual flood, created by an unknown alien. The young boy of the group, Ben, immediately saves her from a flood and becomes very smitten with her. Throughout the story he finds out a werewolf caused the flood, investigates, and turns into one himself, with everybody thinking he was bitten by it. For Kai, it shows us how even though she has an adventurous spirit, she will still obey her family’s laws and listen for what needs to be done. She cares for others who puts themselves in danger, is a good observer but overstates some stuff a lot, and can be quiet at times. Towards the end, they all find the alien monster, find out Ben is not a werewolf but an alien, and quickly try to capture the beast and the equipment he stole. He was able to defeat the beast but not the equipment. At the end of the episode, Ben tries to ask her out, she rejects him saying she liked his beast form better, and gets told off by his cousin Gwen. Kai then shows us how indifferent she is towards her attitude and leaves them alone.
In two more episodes it shows that Ben still cares about her a lot, one where he is in a perfect dream, and imagines her as a cheerleader giving him a cute smile. Another is when he and she are married and they have two children together, although she is never shown.
At age 16, Kai started developing a somewhat stoic attitude, but only around people she never met. She does however develop a free-spirited attitude whenever it comes to talking about her favorite interests and exploring new places. While attending school, she excels in her studies, is a member of the cheerleading squad, and is the head of the student council. In her spare time she likes to hike and read about abnormal activities (which the big book she carries on her is all about). While hearing about Ben Tennyson’s escapades and powers, she usually reacts indifferent to it all. Only when Kai is bugged about it a lot, will she kindly explain how he hasn’t changed one bit. Secretly though, she always makes sure to see how he is and hopes that he hasn’t hurt himself too much. In fact, seeing all his fights with other aliens makes her wish for the fighting to end, so that not only can there be peace, but so that Ben won’t get hurt. She is currently looking into a profession that will create peace between planets.
Even at an older age, Kai still appreciates the traditions within her tribe. She often times weaves or knits when she’s bored, is knowledgeable about her tribe’s spiritual history, and respects her tribe’s age old traditions. She still gets annoyed at some, but is still a loyal follower to please her family.
Overall, Kai is a caring, adventurous, athletic, observant, and a quiet normal girl. It shows how when faced with arguments, she shows she rather not go into it further and ends it entirely. Basically, she is indifferent to situations she doesn’t care for.

1st person sample:
Dear Diary,
It’s me Kai and…I’m a bit freaked. Well freaked isn’t a good enough word; how about scared, confused, and amazed? It still makes me wonder why my family, home, and my whole planet basically cease to exist anymore. I mean, how?! Nobody in the news reported it, everything seemed fine, and my Grandpa would have told me if something like this would have happened thanks to his connections…
...or does that not work anymore because he is an ex-plumber? Oh geez, I don’t even know if Grandpa made it or not. This scares me to no end! All I want is a hug and a reassurance that everything is ok.
…but until then, I must see where I am and what I can figure out so that I can (hopefully) go home again. Please wish me luck diary.

“Wow”
The perfect word for the whole event basically. There were no other words for what had happened to her. Staring at her written journal entry for 10 minutes, she slowly sank in the thought that there probably was no way she could go back home.
“I am NOT going to let this get to me. I am sure there is a logical reason why all this happened.” Kai murmured while getting up from her bed and pacing around back and forth. “I must be calm though and look around. I can’t just stay in here, as convenient as it is. Who knows, the answer may be outside!”
Knowing that the answer could mostly like be out of her doors and around her ship, she chuckled with glee…until she noticed the handbook titled “DON’T PANIC!” in large friendly letters.
She has never been more let down before until now.
“Ugh! What is wrong with me? I should be celebrating instead of sulking. I mean anybody would be happy for finding a calming book explaining what has happened, not groaning because they can’t explore the ship right away…”
And with that said, she went back to her bed with the book in hand, and started to read from front to cover.
