phew finally, i made it! thank you for choosing my prompt! im so touched just from a simple prompt, you turned it into this beautiful story. firstly, i love the whole atmosphere of this story, for me, this story is not too dark and not too light either. i love the way you wrote jongin in this story, at the beginning he is a mess, his problems and the way he lives his life, i can feel it and i feel bad for him. then, throughout this story, you wrote how he becoming better and his positive changes after he attend the AA meeting regularly. of course, this is possible because of his support system. his family, friends and sehun all try to help him whether direct or indirectly so that he become a better person. i believe to overcome the alcohol addiction is not an easy task, they need support, this cant be done alone and you showed it in this story. it really make this story more realistic. another thing is, i really like how you potrayed sehun and jongin relationship in here. the way sehun always there to help jongin step by step on his addiction is very interesting to read. the ending scene is so beautiful, jongin being sober for 100 days, he made it! im satisfied. anyways, thank you once again for sharing this story :) ps : i still dont know why sehun always sets up and packs away the chairs?? is it because he wants some extra time with jongin? im so bad at this lmao
Thank you so much for the comment and the prompt! I remember that I found Kaifectionery randomly one night, and your prompt made me think more seriously about writing... so I committed to this story, and a fic fest for the first time ^_^. While writing I kept coming back to the prompt sweets 'long fic if possible' and as I needed to include more scenes and more characters to cover Jongin's winter-to-summer, it morphed into THIS! I am so glad you liked the plot and characterizations. I went through videos of several ballets before deciding on The Firebird as a background, and actually this guy and the Royal Ballet's version were so amazing so I decided... Let's have Jongin's company do the whole thing!
Sehun sets up and puts away the chairs because that's what Anthony Keidis did when he went to Narctoics Anonymous meetings. In his biography 'Scar Tissue', he mentioned that just the small amount of responsibilty - setting up and putting away the chairs - helped him a lot to stay clean, so I decided to give that same responsibility to Sehun.
Once again, thanks for spurring me into action and into writing again ^_^ Hope you have a fabulous 2017!
