I don't think I'm going to order from Della Terra Teas that often. Like Teavana and DavidsTeas, they're ridiculously overpriced. $8.50 for two ounces when I can get that same quantity from Simpson & Vail for $3.75? Come on now. Hell, I can get four ounces from S&V for $6.40! Upton's prices are similar, and they carry a lovely range of plain black teas as well as flavored ones. DT seems to be of the 'flavored or nothing' mentality.
Everyone on Steepster seems to rave about Della Terra, but they really only seem good for overly-flavored teas with tons of unnecessary ingredients like candies and sprinkles. I don't need oatmeal or graham crackers in my tea! Again, same bullshit as DavidsTeas, 52Teas (chocolate peanut butter cup tea? Um. Ew.) and Teavana. Give me a nice rose congou, or lavender Earl, or chai, or a simple fruit or floral-flavored tea if I must have something flavored. Something that works with the tea base, not overwhelms it completely.
Sure their chili-chocolate tea is nice, as it's one of the less obnoxiously overdone teas they have, but I can get that from Diviniteas as well, and they're not only cheaper but they ship faster.
