I can coax two steeps worth out of a teaspoon of S&V's violet tea. This pleases me, as it means my 2 oz. bag will last longer than I thought. I should see if the strawberry cupcake and kashmir rose get the same mileage.
My only problem with them is that they package their teas in what's essentially wax paper bags sealed with twist ties. This isn't a particularly good way to store tea; paper is porous, so air can get in, which in turn means the tea will go stale faster. Moreover, S&V's teas are quite aromatic. You can smell them right through the bags, which means you can't store them too close or else you get cross-contamination. Each tea will then taste like the other smells, which is something you probably won't want.
I should really invest in tea tins.
