A short little game of good and bad on the latest WoW news:
Bad: WoW's expansion, The Burning Crusade, is delayed till January 2007
Good: Still gives me time to prep for it, including maybe even getting my priest past 50
Bad: Gotta wait 3 months now till I canuse those new specs and whatnot
Good: New patch is coming, which should give plenty to do between now and then
Bad: Still kinda would like the full release, so slightly disappointed
Good: Disappointment being overcome by the laughter cauesd by the totally, TOTALLY emo and utter idiocy of the player base
Seriously, I read the news and was like "Oh, well, I guess I've got some time" and being slightly disappointed. Then I went onto the WoW boards and just about burst into laughter. People wondering what's going to happen with their expansion pack pre-orders?! Oh, I dunno.. maybe.. CONTACT YOUR F'N RETAILER?! It's not like BLIZZARD sold them the pre-order.. especially when they said the dates haven't been annouced. Release the new races in the next patch?! Hahahahaha.. oh, sure.. yeah, that makes sense. Let's release one of the key pieces of the expansion pack as a patch. All the people saying "WTF! I've waited this long and now I've gotta wait longer?!". Yeah.. uhhh.. remember ALL those times that Blizzard told you that the game would be released when it's released, yet you still got your hopes up with the dates that UNRELIABLE sources like Amazon.com and ebgames had to offer? Yeah.. umm.. so.. who's to blame? :P
I can understand being disappointed.. I totally can. Hell, I'm slightly disappointed too.. but I can't find the slightest reason to go all emo, whinning and crying like Blizzard just stole their favorite teddy bear. *shrugs* There's still alot of things that I want to do, and atleast now, I've got my chance. And hell, it's only two months.. it's not like I can't find anything better to do with my time between now and then anyways..
[Edit: Note, this isn't directed at anyone in particular, or at anyone on my friend's list. I'm talking more the general player base]
