Another Return
Is livejournal going to be one of those activities that I revisit every couple of years and then subsequently forget about?
This return was spurred by my boyfriend, who recently revisted his own livejournal and updated. While checking his, I pleasently discovered that Amanda as well has updated her journal! I guess all of us hold on to the LJ experience.
Let's see, I believe some life updates are in order.
Believe it or not, I am still in graduate school, but I am in the final days. I have done my proposal examination and passed with flying colors. I have around 8-12 months before I have to turn in a final dissertation. It certainly seems like my whole life has been wasted in academia, but I certainly plan to make up for lost time.
Dating one of the most wonderful people I have ever met! He is going through some rough times with his family, but we are standing side-by-side through it all. I think he should write a book based on his life, would make for a good read.
I am currently spending this summer interning in California at National Semiconductor! I love it out here on the west coast. Not sure how I feel about living out here permanently though, it's so far away from my family; I would definitely struggle with that if I ever did live here.
I should technically be working at the moment, but there are 100 things going wrong and I am getting quite frustrated. Back to the grind stone for now..
