Top 10 Kpop Songs of 2015
Yes, 2015 isn't over yet. I know this. I'll make edits if I need to. This is my top ten list, mostly for my own record purposes. I included my favorite video of the song, so it isn't necessarily always the MV.
Life is crazy right now, and this is the best thing I can do that seems somehow productive. Enjoy!
#10: Donghae & Eunhyuk - Chok Chok Dance
You can't escape it. It follows you into your dreams. And Heechul at the end of the video makes me smile every time.
#9: Got7 - Just Right
Also too catchy for it's own good. I chose the KCON performance because I made it into the video dancing like an idiot.
#8: Rap Monster - Do You
Music video is stylish insanity. Lyrics are words to live by.
#7: Niel - Lovekiller
I loved Niel's solo album, and the lead track shows off his vocal range perfectly.
#6: Shinee - Your Number
I maintain that Shinee beats Exo in the 'cell phone themed song of 2015' battle. This is everything great about Shinee, including suits that make Taemin look like Jack Skellington.
#5: Teen Top - Hot Like Fire
I really prefer this to the lead single, Ah-Ah. This was the summer of me always going "Hot like a fire. Hot, hot like a fire." whenever I could.
#4: Super Junior - Devil
Ridiculously danceable beat full of Super Junior antics and perfect harmonies. And Heechul with a hat.
#3: BTS - Dope
The cinematography alone for the MV (and most of the live versions filmed in the round) make this stand out. Lyrically, absolute BTS perfection.
#2: Big Bang - Bang Bang Bang
Though the MV is insane, I love this live version because EVERYONE dances and looks awesome.
#1: History - Might Just Die
I saw it. I heard it. My heart stopped. I lost a little bit of my soul in the best way. Haunting, catchy, and aesthetically refreshing. My favorite Kpop song of the year!
