Watch List October!

My thesis partner and I managed to re-schedule our thesis proposal defense to friday (since it was to be originally this monday) Ah!! To tell you the truth it was a huge relief! I've been going *gaga* over our thesis proposal which sadly isn't still cohesive and absolute. Also, when I was foraging through the stacks of thesis proposals on our advisor's desk, it wasn't there! >.< I've got a bad feeling he threw it in the trash can. #_# I want to this semester to be over!

Mostly the series I will be mentioning would more likely be the titles I'll be downloading (given it's being fansubbed). Moreover, as both of my favorite series (Ouran Koukou Host Club and Blood+ TV) are coming to an end, I'm in a bit of a search for a worthy replacement to my viewing/downloading time.

The titles are arranged in descending order based on what I'll most likely watch and some other criteria (mainly bishies --> I'm a sucker for bishies ^.^).

1. |||Death Note|||

bishies: *****

story: *****

synopsis:
"Light Yagami (Or Raito) is an ace student with great aspects who's bored out of his mind. One day he finds the Death Note a notebook held by a shinigami (Death God). with the Death Note in hand, Light decides to create a perfect world. A world without crime or criminals. However when criminals start dropping dead one by one, the authorites send the legendary detective L to track down the killer." Anime News Network

This is just among the upcoming manga--->anime adaptations going to be shown this coming fall. I've read the manga and I know how great the artwork is so I'm excited to see how the anime series will turn out. The story, on the other hand, is dark and heavy with supernatural/psychological stuff that I'm gradually being fond of nowadays. The bishie protagonist (in the name of Raito) albeit imperfect is still very kakkoi, but I'm really looking forward to seeing L(Ryuuzaki). I know many would likely fansub this series >.< can't wait!

2. |||Bakumatsu Kikansetsu Irohanihoheto|||

bishies: *****

story: ---

synopsis:
Animenfo - interpret it yourselves -__-

The fact that I saw the trailer convinced me even more of watching this (even if I couldn't understand the synopsis). The glimpse of the cool fighting scene reminded me of Rurouni Kenshin ^.^ in fact, Takahashi Ryousuke, who worked as associate director in Ruruouni Kenshin, is the creator and director for this series!!! I'm loving the protagonist bishie too ^.^ (his unsmiling face reminds me of Amon) The OP song is sung by one my favorite artists FictionJunction YUUKA. I hope some fansub groups notice this series!

3. |||D.Gray-Man|||

bishies: ***

story: *****

synopsis:
"Allen Walker is a young Exorcist who has a cursed eye that can see the suffering of the Akumas created by The Millenium Earl. He travels to England to the Headquarters of the Exorcists where his Master has sent him to meet with the other Exorcists. The battle with the Millenium Earl and the Noah Family vs. the Exorcists intensifies when some of the best Exorcists begin to get killed by hoards of Akuma. Japan takes center stage in this end of 19th Century plot in order to not let the entire human race be turned into Akumas and the Exorcists have the power of "Innocence" that was given to them by God on their side." Not much bishie to look forward too but the story is enough to arouse my interest ^.^ It is also based on a manga title serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump, and currently has 10 volumes released. I also love the uniforms they're wearing on the poster (Ooohh I wanna cosplay that!) It's gonna be shown at the same time with Death Note in Japan, so I wonder how it'll fare.

4. |||Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge (Perfect Girl Evolution/The Wallflower)|||

bishies: *****

story: *****

synopsis:
"The story is about Sunako Nakahara, a girl who is called "ugly" by her first love. This incident is the beginning of Sunako's neglect in regard to how she looked and her fascination with the dark and gory. Her aunt, in desperate attempt to make her into a lady, offers four (extremely handsome) young men free rent in her mansion if they can turn the girl into a lady. While the four of them manage to make Sunako physically beautiful enough to become a lady, the problem lies with her attitude and interests (which Sunako has no intention of changing). So far, they've managed to convince Sunako's aunt her niece is indeed a lady befitting the mansion they live in (and prevent the rent from skyrocketing at most triple the required amount) when really, Sunako is miles away from their goal..." My fist reaction was "OMG!! It's gonna be an anime!" >.< Ooooh I'm so excited! I absolutely love the shoujo manga (despite the gothic protagonist's unusual preferences) This would certainly be hilarious.

5. |||CODE GEASS - Lelouch of the Rebellion|||

bishies: *****

story: ---

synopsis: ---

comments:
Basically, it is a mecha science-fiction anime but take note, the character designs are by CLAMP!! This anime is a SUNRISE-CLAMP project so I think it's worth checking out.

6. |||Pumpkin Scissors|||

bishies: ---

story: ---

synopsis:
Animenfo

comments:
Haven't seen any bishie yet but watching the trailer made me think twice. It is being animated by GONZO.

I've noticed that most of the series on my watch list belong to the shounen genre *_*! I'll leave my shoujo cravings to the manga then ~_^. I don't think I'll be able to watch all of them since there is no guarantee of them being fansubbed (except Death Note). Anyways, back to studying!!

manga, watch list, anime
