A brief history on my music library...as it is for the past month ^.^
SONGS OF DIFFERENT LANGUAGES EXISTS ON MY MUSIC LIBRARY....
For the past month, I’ve been steadily dl-ing english songs on Limewire ranging from current to relatively old songs. Now my enlgish music library rose from a mere 15 songs to 300++. It’s been more than a year since I’ve stopped listening to the radio or watching MTV. I used to watch the MTV Top 20 before, when VJ Donita was still hosting it and I’m pretty much hooked to the radio too. Also, I got my good diction by listening frequently to english songs.
Since I discovered that also liked Jpop/rock songs, I started dl-ing them too. At first, I started with 10 songs and then it increased steadily with me even buying CDs and dl-ing full albums on mIRC. Ever since then I’ve had this opinion that the melody of Jpop/rock songs are way better than those by American/British artists.
Then I came across Limewire and I remembered my lost HD which contained my collection of 500++ english songs that I liked. Every day I would re-dl every song in my library that I still remembered like “Iris” by Goo Goo Dolls, “Believe” by Blessed Union of Souls, and “Secret Garden” by Bruce Springsteen. When I watched the American Idol finals, I fell in love with the lyrics of Burt Bacharach songs such as “Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head” and “What Do You Get When You Fall In Love”. I also started browsing the Billboard Top 100 charts for new songs to download. Such was my temporary insanity to reacquaint myself with my first love.
But lately, I discovered a mana of jpop/rock albums on #aznmp3 and now I’ve dl-ed about 15 studio albums and singles with 20 more to go. My current fave albums now are “ULTRA BLUE” by Utada Hikaru and “(miss)understood” by Ayumi Hamasaki. I also liked “Asia” by EXILE (I discovered on ‘Aiba no Ai’ that Aiba likes EXILE so I dled it) and Nobuchika Eri ---> artists that I only knew about recently.
My classmate on the other hand, introduced me to Korean pop. She gave me songs from BoA, DBSK and Rain. I also liked them but my current favorite is the Taiwan-Korean fusion of Kang-Ta and Vaness, especially with their song “Scandal” which I never get tired listening to (I’ve about repeated it 15 times in a row).
For now my newly bought 300GB HD is being filled with various fansubbed animes and songs (still has 81% free space ^_^ ). I’m quite afraid though that 300GB would still be not enough.
