the whole concept of it. It amazes me... F. Scott Fitzgerald, Ernest Hemmingway, Victor Hugo, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Robert Frost, Sir Winston Churchill, Aristotle, Socrates, Plato, Geoffrey Chaucer and my personal favorite, Sir Thomas Moore. I'm just fascinated by the way these guys can think... I love their perspectives and outlooks on life... Hahaha makes me want to go back to philosophy classes and debate with Professor Himma. Yet, another intelligent man. Hahaha I remember staying after class for hours at a time debating with him on the issues of animal rights, and our own thoughts on instrumental and intrinsic value... Until next time Professor....
Some make you think...
~ Don't ever take a fence down until you know why it was put up.
~ These days come and go, but they say nothing, and if we do not use the gifts they bring, they carry them as silently away.
~ He who knows not and knows he knows not, is foolish. Shun him
He who knows not and knows not that he knows not is simple. Teach him
He who knows and knows he knows is wise. Follow him
~ It's not enough to have a dream, Unless you're willing to pursue it. It's not enough to know what's right, Unless you're strong enough to do it. It's not enough to learn the truth, Unless you also learn to live it. It's not enough to reach for love, Unless you care enough to give it. Men who are resolved to find a way for themselves will always find opportunities enough; and if they do not find them, they will make them.
Some make you laugh...
~Getting married for sex is like buying a 747 for the free peanuts
~ Whenever I see an old lady slip and fall on a wet sidewalk, my first instinct is to laugh. But then I think, what if I was an ant, and she fell on me. Then it wouldn't seem quite so funny.
Personally this is my favorite because it reflects my personality...
~You laugh at me because I'm different, I laugh at you because you're all the same.
