I've been slaving to finish this mix since I started it about a month or two ago. I wanted to make this a bit more... lovey dovey than more story focused - but I guess I let a little bit of a plot trickle in this.Oh well. Anyways, Doubleleaf @ Deviantart and Saynomore @ Y-Gallery has some of the best art pieces I've seen and without her amazing work, those covers would have never come to be. I'm glad to say that we've met
But I'm sad to say that the circumstances weren't
On our side
What with Desmond in Animus 2.0 most of the time and Shaun working on the Database constantly, it wasn’t like they could skip off together into the sunset, holding hands. If only they had been two normal people, then their story might have been a happier and easier one.
Accidentally In Love

Oh no. He wasn’t in love with that blundering, insufferable twat. But then again, accidents happen.

Oh no. He wasn’t falling for that frustratingly handsome, British jerk. But then again, it wasn’t like he chose who he fell for.
First Time
Looking at you holding my breath,
For once in my life I'm scared to death,
I'm taking a chance letting you inside.
“Can I come in?” Shaun looked over as Desmond knocked at the door, standing in the frame. As Shaun nodded, he knew it was very first step of many more to come.
Take Me Out
I say don't you know
You say you don't go

What the bloody hell was he talking about? Instantly, hundreds of perverted things jumped into his mind but what Desmond really wanted didn’t even pop into his head. He just wanted to go outside with him for some fresh air.
All We Are
I walked a minute in your shoes, they never would've fit
I figured there's nothing to lose
I need to get some perspective on these words before I write them down
Alone in the Animus room, Shaun continued to write down everything he could say to Desmond. It got cornier and cornier each time as he wrote it down, and then scratched it out furiously. In the end, he decided with a simple ‘I Love You’. Now when he was going to say it? Probably never.
The Dutch Courage
Paranoia is hunting you and all these dirty looks, they are right on cue

Why the hell was Shaun avoiding him? It wasn’t like he had a fatal disease or anything of the sort. Coward, Desmond sneered as he walked briskly past the historian.
Lost In You
Now every day I find myself saying

Frustrated, Shaun didn’t know what to do anymore. He was completely wrapped around Desmond’s pathetic little finger. For once in his life, he didn’t know what to do next; he was very lost.

When he looked at the man, he had no idea what to think. The only thing that came to mind was that he wanted Shaun to smile at him, tease him because he knew he didn’t mean it, or even say something that was scratched out on the pieces of paper Desmond found in the trash.

In the blackest of rooms
Shaun knows that the Bleeding Effect will probably take Desmond’s life - and he doesn’t bother to reject the thought. Death comes and all you can do is fall into its gentle embrace. But perhaps Desmond didn’t need to fall alone.
Undisclosed Desires

Alone and exhausted in his isolated room, Shaun sits up when he hears a knock at his door. Walking over, he opens it to find Desmond with his unreadable poker face. “What do you want?” Shaun asks, wishing he could retire back to his bed for some well needed rest. As Desmond leans in and presses their lips together, Shaun knows he won’t be getting any rest at all.

Arms around each other, cuddled close together and sharing their intimate body warmth, each knew that this was only a beginning - because they still had much more to learn and face together.
