There are, really, only three types of weather/conditions that will prevent me from going for a run: Heavy rain (your clothes just get too soaked and heavy, and even in summer, it can get too cold - plus the water running into your eyes is a pain), snowstorms (as in, snow in combination with wind; it gets into your eyes and you need those for seeing-making) and icy sidewalks.
Lately, we've been hit with quite a serious case of the latter. Every outdoor surface is covered in in a thick glaze; what happens when you have a period of mild weather and melting snow, followed by a short cold spell. It's absolutely ridiculous; one morning, I couldn't get out of the back yard of our apartment building, as the ten or so steps down to street level were covered in ice. Not the bulky, frosted, rather easy to walk on ice either; the polished-looking, shiny stuff that could make you fall over just by standing still on it.
So yeah, no running as of yet. I really want to, so it's a bit of a pain. I didn't really keep up with my running at all in 2010, so I really want to get off to a better start now. Not that easy when nature keeps working against me, though. :p
