Now that the reveal is done, I can finally tell you that OMGIGOT

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!
Yes. Well. Out of more than 1600 participants (was that the final tally?), I get my good friend and writing partner, whom I feel is a better writer than myself. Actually,
that has been proven! So, y'know, no pressure there!
When I saw her requests, I quickly decided to try to include as many of them in my story. I toyed with the idea of a crossover, but I ended up with a War of the Worlds (the 1980's TV-series) story as my base, taking place during a production of Wagner's Rheingold, and had one of the characters reading Isaac Asimov's Lucky Starr series. Sadly, I was unable to include Ravenous, because it was hard to figure out how to shoehorn a story about cannibalism in 1840's California into that mix. The finished product is
Rheingold, and at least three other people read and enjoyed it, so I must have done something right. Now I'm just anxious for
roadstergal to get back from her holidays, so she'll have time to read it. *impatient*
I also wrote a couple of last minute treats; the Red Dwarf RPS vignette
Wine for
madlovescience, and the Colbert Report silliness
Your Sweetness Is My Weakness, which seems to have been rather popular, to my delight! Thanks to anyone reading this who read and/or reviewed - it's been so much fun seeing your reactions. :)
I will be writing a few NYE stories (or attempting to do so, at least), among others, a Jeeves/Wooster story which I intended to post before the deadline as a treat, but sadly did not have time to finish.
Finally; if anyone has any
yuletide recs they think would interest me, please do let me know!
