New Year!

Just a little post to say I'm still alive. :P

I'm still not well, so they gave me this week off from work. That's working out very well indeed; I'm enjoying the ability to do pretty much exactly what I want. I needed a little vacation. It's doing wonders for the brain. In my head. I do need to see the doctor though; I should be well by now. It's just a residual cough, but it needs to go, dunnit?

I have much gushing to do about things fannish and otherwise, but that will come later. Just wanted to wish you guys a happy new year. :) I wish I had pictures from the party, but I forgot my memory card. *slaps self*

Dunno if I have any other news... oh, not sure if I mentioned it, but I'll be starting my Masters at the end of February. No surprise that I got in, but it's still nice to know. The semester starts much later for students at the Master level, apparently. I'm a little bit disappointed by the classes on offer thus far; since I'm in the Lit program, I can only do Lit classes, and there's just ten of them on offer in English Lit. There are a couple of NORAM (North American studies) classes I could take though. Literature and Society in the United States and Canada looks good; if nothing else, I have a good chance of acing it. It would be nice to take something I haven't covered before though. I'm also liking Multicultural American Literature. Hopefully, there'll be some more on offer closer to the start of the semester. I'll find something. The website is a little unclear on wether or not I can take language classes as part of this degree - I hope I can. There are a few choice ones I'd love to take.

EDIT: Am tempted to take The Victorian Period (Literature and Civilization), just because it has The Lady of Shalott on the syllabus. :p *changes icon*
