Long overdued update.
mmm.....been 7 months since I last updated this thing, I guess a minor update is needed.
Work wise, well, everything is pretty much still the same, doing much more Sys Admin work but recently started doing application development again working on C# which reminds me why I hate programming, especially programming for normal people, which in itself means the code much be completely retard proof. That in itself isn't that difficult thing to do but more the device the program is written down isn't really stable per say so there's no way to catch all the errors that is coming back with. The other thing that pains me about doing applications is that, 2 months ago, I said, I'm doing this in C# and it'll need .Net Framework, and it'll be the easiest way to deal with retards and it will just work. So after the features is all completed, everything is up and ready, marketing comes back bitching saying that the .Net 2 framework installation takes too long! Seriously wtfak!
FFXI wise, wow, this looks like a Kneebone journal now! The amount of time I get to play these days are decreasing due to massive work load and other stuff that needs to be done. Maybe I'll find some time to play after the end of the summer when everything settles down.
And finally, this brings us down to what I've been doing apart from working and sleeping. It's been mmm, 8 months since I've moved to Reading, everything is well, different per say. It's definately a pleasent change from living in London, not having to deal with the rush hour underground stampee anymore is a definate bonus but on the flip side, I don't get to go out as much, or just too lazy to go out. Apart from that, I had
celestianna_ came over and visit which was a good laugh, done all the touristy stuff around London, which was expensive as hell and I'm definately not doing that again for my wallet sake, and I even learnt to bake muffins (yes, yes, don't laugh!). I manage to wander up towards Norwich last weekend for one of my school friend's stag night out which was fun, smoke free clubs are so much nicer now that you can go out and not be stinking of smoke coming home. Next couple of weeks going to be hectic as well, Amecon is coming up in a few weeks and I'm off to N.Ireland for a few days to attend my friend's wedding, which would be good since I hopefully be able to catch up with a few of my friends that I haven't seen for a while now.
That's pretty much it of my boring life in the past few months, maybe there'll be an update again in 6 months time!
On a side note, I've made some major mistakes in these months too, as much as I regretted in doing so, maybe I should have acted differently, or try and works things out than backing off and take the easier way out.
