Ahh, gone finally the most hectic week of all the time that i've spent in London since the start of July. So, let's recap a few things that has happened.
Wednesday, hah.....yeah....It's at that moment where you realise that Ayacon is in 2 days and everything isnt ready for it yet! Video programme wasnt finalised, all the video is all over the 101 harddrives that is situated in the house, hell the event booklet wasnt even all printed yet! So that ended up me spending most of the night being awake trying to sort that out before finally collapsing at around 4am and constantly waking up again after eating a rather dodgy pizza.
Granted that aside, most of the work was done by around 2pm the following day and we finally set off to the University of Warwick where the weekend starts. Minor setup and everything was done nicely, till we realise that nothing was ready yet since we only have one of the mac readied for the video room. The frantic sorting out of the playlists and finding various Aegis bugs ended up us sitting in ops trying to get everything fix (that failed of course).
So by 7am the following day, we were up and about trying to get the final bits and pieces working, setup of the room went nicely since the guys at Warwick were really professional and helpful in pre-prepare all the equipment we need so that all we need to do was plug it in.
Enough of all the setup crap, and talk more about the con, the con, this time seems very different, mainly because i was a massive stressed junky by the time Friday came with minimal sleep and constantly running back and forth from the Social Studies building and the Art Centre (with a trashed shin since i over-estimated my jumping abilities in the theatre room >_<) meant all the pain from that i didnt realise i was in massive pain till much later in the day when i was less stressed.
But at least i got to chat to a few people that i havent seen for ages, iain, loui, claire, etc etc, I must apologies for the very brief and short chat that i got with you guys given that i was a) too tired or b) too busy to stop for more than 5mins to chat. I promise to be more socialable at Minami / Amecon!
Onwards to the main highlights of the con, Jpop party was excellent, thanks Choco and Tak, I think that was the only stage that i just ignored everything else that was happening over the weekend and just enjoyed myself (even if a lot of flailing was involved). The other main highlight must have been the Gopher party and the after party in our rooms after that, it was nice having a proper chat with Fi and Andrew. And of course, Blood (even if Kiwamu was making scary advances towards me by trying to take off my shirt and bruising my stomach), they were all really sound blokes. Drunken jrockers are indeed scary, having Fu-ki attempting to grab my crotch and me retaliating as well >_<. The night went very quickly, i wished that the con was longer (if i wasnt working during it), but there will be more cons, we'll sit about and get stupidly drunk as always so till next time! (And yes, i know this is a very inco-herent post!)
In other news, I've got the job with Ezurio! So from next thursday, i'll be er.....a Software Engineer for a bluetooth company. There will be a celebration dinner tonight along with a few drinks. Time to start planning to quit Uni and prepare to move over to London properly!!
