Why I think that every villain in Reborn becomes "allies"

I've noticed that many fans complain that Reborn ! is a strange manga in the sense that the bad guys always turn out to become allies with the very ones they tried to kill at an earlier part of the story. "How can they help the ones they actually tried to murder?" they wonder (although I think the more correct phrasing would be - How in the world can we hate them if they become good guys? Give us someone to hate on, waaah!) Well, this is my take on things.
I believe the reason why all the villains seem to become allies in Amano-sensei's work is because they are not purely evil. That is to say, the Reborn characters are not separated into good and bad characters taking into consideration their nature, but because the circumstances made them this way.

1. Xanxus fought Tsuna, thus putting himself in the villain category, for the status as a Vongola boss. To be accepted by his father, or whatever his reason was, he did everything for a usually acceptable reason, and not because he was evil. This is merely the way WE perceive him because he acted against Tsuna, the protagonist. (and because he has a bad, BAD personality, which allows him to use dangerous and unethical means).

2. Oh, Mukuro is evil alright., and he did not become Tsuna's ally from the (inexistent) goodwill of his heart. Even with the Kokuyo group, he never helped or protected them just because he was good like that - he always has a hidden purpose, and even now he will probably try to fulfill it when he deems that the time is right.

3. Byakuran is a man with a more childish than usual outlook on life. He does not like the world he is living in and wants to change it somehow: does this not sound familiar? However, there are only two differences between him and the people that share his thoughts: one, he has the power to fulfill his purpose; and two, he takes this purpose of his quite literally. He wants to erase the world and create one according to the vision he has, and this want is what probably overtook his reasoning. He may come across as pure evil, with which I may agree to some point, but as a child, he wants to have fun, and as an adult, aren't other people the only thing that can make this complicated being have fun? I believe his lack of consideration for other people is much more dangerous than anything else.

4. Daemon Spade was fighting for his beliefs, which are as strong as Tsuna's. Only that he has no qualms about fighting as dirty as it can get in order to forcibly implement his visions. This means that the only difference between him and Tsuna is that refusal, or lack of it, to resort to unethical means.

All in all, although these are considered villains, they are not purely evil characters - Amano-sensei is more intelligent than to create such two-dimensional characters. Besides, I wouldn't really call them "allies" just because at some point of time they helped Tsuna. After all, they each have a purpose they want to fulfill at no matter which cost, even if they need to help old foes for that. (though even I have no idea what prompted Byakuran to cure Yamamoto ) )
