According to the BBC most folk’s will have only read about 6 of the hundred books on this list, but of course my friends are probably closer to 50. Me, I only got 45. Beat my score!

My older children are considerably better-read than I, and the youngest is working on it. How many 13 year olds do you know who have read The Prince? She just started working on her first Shakespeare play, Romeo and Juliet, and really enjoys it. Last night she was burbling about everything that had been left out of the first scene in the Ziffareli movie.
