OK I warn you right now. If you click on this link after what I say your a moron...
I was visiting a site that I normally frequent when I get this annoying popup saying my shit is infected and do I want to run this scanner. Well Hell no i don't want some hacker crappy software popup scanning my shit and installing stuff like i'm a noob. I know my system has 'viruses' I downloaded each and every one of them on purpose. Of course all of mine are false positives because i have exes in zip files and various false key items.

Ok their XML is very impressive. It first minimizes your browser (got my firefox which threw me for a loop) Then it was sneeky in the whole cancel process and then it tried to automatically download software and told me to click the run button like i was a noob.. But I can see a bunch of noobs falling for this. So I am putting out the warning which is already in full effect.
If you see this come up in your browser
http://xponlinescanner.com/2008/3/_freescan.php?aid=77011804 And you are wondering "OMG!! I"M INFECTED!" Stop, go no further. Close the damn browser and report the problem to the Website admin. Most companies will listen to you. Especially if you threaten to direct all related traffic away from their site. Its a shady marketing ploy aimed at low end users who are afraid of their technology and freak out at the first hint of trouble. New users are so afraid of breaking the computer that they fall prey to the chicken little effect.
So I am warning any of my readers, if i have any, that this is crap. Ignore it and report it to the host website. Its an ad as far as I can tell so Just tell them that.
Later all Out.
PS if you want to see how sneeky it is. Just load up that link I put in there. But trust me its sneeky. I knew it was BS when it said I had a D drive LOL bastards :) here's to being unconventional.
