Monday. :)
Ok so I had a small schedule change and we had company coming for Monday so we didn't do the usual coffee shop Tuesday. Instead we had a long time friend of ours come up and we visited with her almost all day. Ok Visit is too strong a term. We watched fan videos until the kids came home from school and then she went home and we got to the normalcy of life. Homework and dinner and stuff.
The interesting points to yesterday were:
Getting lost in my backyard. I went to walk the dog and we started down the hill and strangely enough a path opened up in the mountain and I decided to walk th dog up that way. So We hiked up this big ass hill, over and under fallen trees and through brambles (note to self wear long pants when I go hiking) So we made it to the top of this hill and lo and behold a Road. Ok so we followed the road to the left because going right would of taken us to the highway. I was pretty sure anyway. So we followed the road to the left and finally made it to a clearing and the view was great. There was an old 70's model van up there that hadn't moved since 96 (gathering from the inspection sticker) So we walked around the clearing and the dog marked his territory. Silly little dog. We turned around to make our way back down the bank and to my back yard. however, we couldn't find the way back down. Note to self bring walking stick and something to mark your exit onto the road. :) Then I choose to just wander down the road which came out where I suspected and I picked up the dog and walked down the road and to my driveway. It was a good hike and the dog seemed tired and happy. Of course I get blessed out for disappearing yeah i didn't mean to be gone so long but I mean really just because someone put milk on the bottom of the coffee table and she didn't catch it and dumped it down the air vent... :) yeah that smelled lovely. Any rate the day continued and it was very peaceful after that.
