Jason's Birthday!

Sep 09, 2007 21:43

Jason and I celebrated his birthday last Wednesday. I did a lot to make it perfect this year. I got up extra early, instead of laying in bed until 8:30am, heh. I fixed him crumpets and tea for breakfast and made him one heck of a good lunch. I packed an apple teacake for him to take to work, as well as made Mom's great subs for him with ham, salami and melted cheese. I cried while cutting the onions, and finished preparing the toppings with lettuce and tomato. I even packed him a bottle of water and some coke. The water at the school is brown and icky, and they don't have a water machine there.

He got to come home from work a little early, and I had the mud cake waiting with some weird candles on it. The store didn't have regular birthday candles, but it all turned out perfect.

The gifts Mom and Dad had sent arrived on time, so Jason had lots of presents to open. Unfortunately, Indy and Aurora were a little disappointed that their Grammy didn't send them any goodies, so they took out their frustrations on a present that Kellie gave Jason. They practiced their Christmas rip rip a little early by opening up one of his presents. The item itself was safe. They are really gonna love Christmas!

I did have some help wrapping his presents, though Aurora and Indy were more interested in attacking the ribbons then wrapping. The card shop did not have any birthday wrapping paper! So, I bought plain blue paper for 6 dollars. I opened it up to find that the scan bar and price had been burned into the wrapping paper from sitting in the light too long. This is not to mention that the paper was two different colors from fading. I had to cut a chunk of it off. No idea where one is supposed to buy wrapping paper, but obviously the card shop is not the right place. I had also bought a pen because their birthday cards sucked, and I was going to doctor up the one I got. The pen had dried up and does not work. Going to take it back to them. Not sure what the card shop excels at selling, but its obviously not pens, paper, or cards! lol.

I bought two XBOX games and preordered Halo 3 on the XBOX 360 for Jason. I also, thanks to mom, had a ghost hunters television show shirt and laptop bag delivered as a surprise. Jason loved everything, including the Stewie tie that Mom sent and the drinking checkers. I have the best parents! :) I wouldnt know what I'd do without them constantly sending me stuff, things are so much cheaper and better in America!

Anyway, it's getting time for bed, will update more when I can.
