Basically, I just couldn't think of an appropriate title for tonight's (today's) entry. If I do, I'll come back and change it later.
Anyway....
Well, it's just like I said- sooner rather than later. Oh, and (despite the fact that she pays her rent/bills at the first of the month for the PREVIOUS month -it's how the bills work, and it means she only pays for how long she stays so she isn't paying for a full month ahead of time if she isn't going to stay the whole month-) the roommate have ever so graciously decided that she's find paying even the full amount for rent and bills and such at the beginning of Feb to "help us out."

Yeah. That's what I said. I'm not really complaining. Her "offering" to do it just makes it easier and means there isn't going to be a fight about it, but still. I guess maybe she forgot how things were set up? Or maybe she thought she'd get away with it, then decided to be "nice" because of the short notice.
*shrug*
Either way. Like I said, I'm not really complaining... I'm just... talking. Mostly to get it out of my head. (I know, like Soooo many other things, right? LOL)
And we'll see how next saturday goes. That's the day that we have planned, barring anything odd, unusual, catastrophic, or friends' clingy wives, to go to le storage unit, pull out a bunch of the roommate's stuff so we can get all our stuff, put her crap back, and sign the whole thing over to her. At least, I PLAN on being able to take care of that part then as well. That way, I won't have to pay for it for Feb.
But, again, we'll see how it goes. I'm hoping it goes according to plan (at least, insofar as it gets DONE), so I can put away all the books we have, and load up a bunch of blankets and quilts to go to a friend who said she would give them a good home.
Sooo.. Since we'll have our stuff back (including a dresser) before, I suspect, the roommate has moved her stuff out, the plan for this weeks sits at me trying to make room for stuff by:
-cleaning the office (the dresser can live in front of the closet for a short time, we don't hardly use the closet for much right now anyway)
-getting the curtains for the office finished and put up
-getting a bunch of stuff out and dropped off at goodwill/salvation army
-rearranging the books currently ON the bookshelves in preparation for the mad massive influx of all the rest of our books
I'm sure there's more that I will want to get accomplished, but I know I'll think of it as I go to do it. Wish me luck. I may need it.
Of course, if I don't get the curtains done, it's no biggie. They don't take up much room. I'm hoping that will give me a neat little buffer zone so that I can get the other stuff done, and if I don't get around to the curtains (because they are going to take FOREVER to sew, since I do it by hand), then.. well... I'll be able to say that at least I got the big stuff taken care of, and I still fulfill my inevitable "didn't get to everything on my list" laziness.
..... I really don't wanna dust..... *cries* I need to find our static cling duster thingie.
Anyway, I think that's about all. Got out of my head what I needed, AND gave my nails time to dry sufficiently so that they'll only get mild hair impressions while I sleep instead of them smudging and getting the polish on anything and everything it touches. Because we all know that shit don't come out. EVER. Lol.
Soo... yeah.
