This is an email from my brother. Just so you guys know what's up.
hey whats up all? hope all is going well. i got here late so i never
had a chance to volunteer for the commander's combat escort convoy, but
i have been trying to get on it since i got here. today i finally got
on it because they lost some people. i wanted to be a gunner since i
had all that experience in korea as the heavy weapons gunner, but they
assigned an infantry NCO who got attatched to us with that position.
they did make me the colonel's driver though, which is kind of cool but
not the job i wanted. at least i have the responsibility of driving a
colonel in combat conditions, which is cool. we are rolling out here
sometime in the future for some various jobs and missions, so keep me in
your prayers please. anyways not much else going on, take care all
