Just got back from a wonderful weekend down in North Carolina hanging out with Steve and spending time with Danielle. I had really missed her, and it was very good to see her again. In a couple weeks she should be up here for the summer. =)
Got there Friday around 2 pm, hung out with Steve until Danielle showed up, and then the two of us went out for awhile and got some dinner at this one mexican place down there. It wasn't as good as I remember it being the last time we went. Afterwards we went to Java Joe's for mocha shakes, but the girl working there put in way too much milk, or way too little ice cream, and they turned out more like mocha milk drinks, and not very much like shakes at all. Then we headed back to Steve's place, and went out to see Sin City. Aivy met us there, I bought tickets for myself and Danielle, and we went in. I gotta say it was just as good the second time, if not better. Danielle thought the movie was awesome, and Steve seemed to enjoy it, but I could tell early on that Aivy wasn't enjoying it. Oh well, I guess in the future I'll not try to plan things for all four of us to do together.
Saturday Danielle came over around 11 or so, because she was apparently waiting for me to wake up, or some stupid reason like that. We hung out for awhile, I got a shower, and then we headed out to this chinese buffet called Crystal Palace that Steve said was pretty awesome. We find the place, go inside, and they're closed. For some goddamn reason they close at 2:30 and then reopen at 5:00. So we leave, and head to this indian place. Before we even try to open the door, some guy opens it and informs us that THEY are closed and won't reopen until 5:00. So we ate at Subway, and there was only one guy working there, so my toasted sub was cold and tasted like crap. At least it was food. We then went back to Steve's house and hung out. Steve played a little WoW while Danielle and I laid on his bed and Danielel massaged my shoulders and rubbed my back. It was great. Then Steve logged out and played some Shining Tears, and I helped explain the battle system and stuff to him. Danielle then logged onto WoW, which I didn't really appreciate, since I didn't drive six hours down there just to watch her play WoW. Steve left around 7:00 or 7:30 to go meet up with Aivy at her job, and after laying on his bed for 15 minutes or so waiting to see if Danielle would log out of WoW, I went out to the living room to try and take a nap, since the keyboard sound was keeping me awake, and didn't feel like laying there on Steve's bed if Danielle was just going to ignore me. Later she came out into the living room asking why I left and saying that she didn't even realize I was gone. I expressed to her my feelings about her logging onto WoW and ignoring me, and she said she only did that because she didn't want to disturb me while I was helping Steve with the game. She can be such a dork sometimes. Why on earth would her rubbing my back disturb me? Anyway, we hung around watching Cartoon Network, and then decided to go out for food around 9:00 or so. We went to Fuddrucker's, and man, that one is a lot better than the one here in Salisbury. It was cleaner, the staff was friendlier, and the food was much better. We ate our burgers and then headed out to Coldstone for dessert. Got back to Steve's around 11:30 or midnight, and sat in the living room watching Comedy Central on the crappy TV they have. Crappy TVs seem to be some kind of trend at Steve's place. Anyway, I was laying on the couch with Danielle half asleep, but whenever I would start to doze off someone would laugh or say something and I'd get woken up. Finally the show Steve was watching got over and he went to bed. Danielle and I cuddled on the couch for awhile, then she went home around 1:00 am or so. I told her to come over around 9:00 the next day so we could go out for breakfast.
Sunday she showed up around 10:00 or so, claiming that she fell asleep after waking up. We drove out to the Golden Corral for the breakfast buffet, and got there around 10:30, so we were able to eat breakfast foods and then lunch foods, since they start serving lunch at 11:00. At one point Aivy called, and met us there. Danielle had her under the impression that we were there for lunch, and not that we had just eaten, but oh well. We went our separate ways, Danielle and I going to a mall for a few hours while Aivy and Steve went off to do whatever it is they do. I bought some manga and the two Gungrave OSTs Danielle got a cd, and then we walked around for a while. We went into the Barne's and Noble bookstore and Danielle got some manga there. At some point Steve called to tell us that he was going over to Aivy's for dinner around 5:30, and that if we wanted to get into his apartment we would need to be back over there before then. So Danielle and I went to Best Buy for a while, I bought a cheap dvd. and then we headed back to Steve's place. Danielle and I sat on the couch reading our manga until Steve and Aivy came out into the living room, and then I tried in vain to continue to read while the three of them sat there talking about some fantasy book crap. Made it very hard for me to concentrate on reading, but I didn't want to sound rude by asking them to shut up or go into Steve's room to talk. I eventually managed to get done, though I should probably read it again in case I missed anything.
We went out later, and once again tried to go to Crystal Palace. We got there around 9:30, and stood there in the lobby for about five minutes without anyone so much as saying hello to us. I vocalized my thoughts about the place and the service (using plenty of F words by the way) and then we left. We ended up going to Rockola, since they were open until 11:00. We got their yummy bacon cheese fries, and they were great, although the waiter came and took the place from us before I was finished eating it all. I just sat there in shock while he took the plate, because I really couldn't understand what he was doing, since I could still see three or four good bites of bacon cheese fry goodness on it. Maybe the kid was hungry or something, I dunno. I got a cheeseburger, Danielle got a chicken tender and fried shrimp dinner. It was yummy food. Headed back to Steve's place, watched the movie I bought (gotta love cheesy horror movies that only cost ten bucks) and then Danielle headed home.
This morning I hung out with Steve for awhile waiting for Danielle to show up. She came over around 10 or so, and told me she didn't go to her morning class. I wasn't very happy with her about that, since she's got finals coming up, and has already missed so many classes that she's probably gonna fail and not get her diploma. Steve headed out around noon to take care of his residency stuff, and I got a shower so that Danielle and I could head out for lunch. We packed up all my stuff and then went out to a chinese buffet. It was pretty yummy, though the pepper shaker on our table was empty, and it took forever for the waitress to refill my drink. After lunch we headed back to Steve's, and said our goodbyes. I eventually made myself stop holding her and get into my car, then drove home.
I miss her already, though she's still with me in my heart. I can't wait for these next two weeks to be over, so that she'll be done with school and (hopefully) up here for the summer.
Well, thanks for reading about my weekend, assuming anybody actually bothers to read this.
