Bad news and good news
It's that time of year. I received a "nice" greeting card from our friends at the IRS. Apparently, there was a discrepancy between my tax return and some other sources of information. My accountant just informed me that what happened was not my fault and that he had sent the IRS a reply.
I must say their letter was much more courteous than the last time I had to deal with them. Then, the letter was just short of threatening, and seemed to imply the "best" thing to do would be to concede the amount in dispute and let them have it. This time, the letter was more courteous and the tone was curious rather than condemnatory.
I am still working on this year's tax return. No fun, but it has to be done. ::Sigh::
