The South in general is great. I live in the South - like WAAAAY in the south, about an hour drive from to part of the shore from the Gulf of Mexico. However, wen driving UP through Alabama, I think I only met three nice people . . . MAYBE, I know ONE was nice to me.

As I've told other people, "Yeah, I'd think so. I wasn't in Birmingham, but I was in Cullman, AL going up to Nashville. Briana and I stopped at Bojangles where they were rude. It's easier just to travel with made up service dog cards rather than deal with the Federal Law about them . . . but they were still sneering at us with them. And nobody was helpful. Then I was outside of and in Tuscaloosa, AL. You can read my other post about that . . . I checked into the hotel and the guy at the front desk was a total grump. In the morning, a worker managed to set off a fire alarm and at least she was nice telling us that we had more time to check out now that it had delayed us. Then we ate at Zaxby's where at least one of the workers was nice and a boy and his father were nice (but I've a feeling they may have also been travelers because of how they reacted to our service dogs compared to how other people in Alabama reacted to them). I'm SO HAPPY to be in Mississippi now! It was ALREADY such a difference when I had to stop and ask for the nearest hotel!"
