Crazy Cake

I was commenting to coffeesnob about crazy cake since it needs no refrigerated ingredients. I remember making it a few times as it was in an old Women's Day Cookbook and I would never allow anybody to get rid of that cookbook because it had my crazy cake recipe in it. I'm sure the book is around somewhere, but who knows where now as we've not found things because of the movers. Everything is STILL crazy. It's completely nuts trying to find everything.

I figured that I would simply paste my comment here.

This looks to be like it is the same recipe. I remember I found the crazy cake recipe in an old Women's Day Cookbook.

Crazy Cake

Yes, it is made in one pan. No bowls are needed. The wells should be made, but I have done it without doing that . . . though it is supposed to help it - easy either way, though.

This recipe is almost the same, but has just a few different measurements:

Then, I didn't really even know about the wells for certain and I was reading this post after searching for "crazy cake."

So, there's a recicpe for a cake with no eggs (or any refrigerated ingredients) that tastes REALLY good!

I never made any jam glaze. Once, I think I might have just done the simple glaze where water and powdered sugar is mixed and put a bit of glaze on top. I remember doing that.
