Paypal donation button?
Dear LJ Genie who never has any finance trouble,
I am having a lot of trouble with setting up donations through PayPal.
I am working with some alumni for our 10 year high school reunion. While I do have some tasks that are not web related, I am the one who seems to know most about technology.
I have been able to set up our website.
I would like to be able to set up donations through PayPal.
I can easily find how to create a donate button through the PayPal site and that is even saved in our PayPal account for the reunion.
I tried putting it on the website to see if I could donate, however, it then takes me to a page at PayPal that gives me an error message and asks me to go back to the originating page.
I thought the problem might be that it is not yet a verified account, is not yet linked to a bank account, and does not have any credit card information. Because of this, I then tried the donate button on my personal PayPal account which has had all those things for a long time.
However, the same thing happened at that time.
I've read many blog posts and podcast subscriptions. They all tell me the same things and that is exactly what I did in the PayPal account.
However, no matter what, I still get the error message screen.
What do I need to do in order to make the donate button work?
