I went to Yahoo's front page tonight to log into the St. Paul account. I had to open the video of the people teaching the hand jive in a new tab because years ago I used to know how to do the hand jive. Specifically, I learned this back in the summer of 2001 at The Disciple Project at TLU. A bunch of us would do the hand jive to tons of the worship songs when we'd go to worship. We were there at least once a day, maybe twice a day, and I know we were there more on some days.
Yeah, anyway, I used to know how to do the hand jive and it had bothered me and I don't have strong google-fu skills nor am I huge fan of Grease, so I got irritated at times that I couldn't find just how to do it.
Now, I know again. . .
Slap lap, slap lap,
Clap, Clap,
Right hand over left, Right hand over left,
Left hand over right, Left hand over right,
Pound right fist on top, Pound right fist on top,
Pound left fist on top, Pound left fist on top,
Throw right fist over shoulder, Throw right fist over shoulder,
Throw left fist over shoulder, Throw left fist over shoulder,
Repeat.
Yes, I can turn the youth of St. Paul into dorks, too.
They are really getting into the DDR game - whether it's really dancing or using the controller.
