ARGH! Why English people always mumble while talking?
I'm officially looking for a room to stay during August in Salisbury (or around).
I have found an offer "to let" in a site, for a man and his son who rent a room in Salisbury, in a house with a garden (they also own a friendly Yorkie, they say)
I have phoned today (I don't know how much my father will need to spend for this call!) and a kind man answered. As soon as I told him I wanted to stay since August, he started to talk very quickly =.= I understood maybe 1/30 of what he said. But as far as I've understood, he wants somebody who can start staying there since now.
Too sad, it was such a lovely offer! A single room with my own fridge . . . and 60 pounds at week. Not bad, indeed . . .
Anyway, I have explained the man my problem, he said he would take me in consideration and put me at the top of his list if I call him when I arrive to Salisbury in August. I have even forgot asking him his name =.= err . . . I'm a mess when I talk at the phone. I'm so chatty on the net, or in front of people, but at the phone . . . I'm timid and I always make a mess =.= But I have asked his true phone number (the site gives out a call center number that redirects you to the right phone number).
The man seemed a nice person, he has a nice voice. However, I will keep looking. I hope I can find a place where to stay. If I can find something at that rate, looking for a job to pay the rent and live shouldn't be that difficult.
