Just checking in
This is the first time reading Livejournal since I guess sometime midday June 3rd, because I had to read back to that point in order to catch up with everything going on with all of you! Boy, a lot happens in two weeks!! Good to hear you are all doing well.
I finally moved into my new place. I must have logged in last at work, because I disconnected my internet on June 1st. Despite raining all that weekend, the move went fairly well. I had 4 of my guy friends help me out, and we got all the heavy furniture up in a half hour. I am still getting stuff settled though.
The weekend before I moved, it was Memorial Day and my friend visited for the long weekend. This past weekend, I went to Massachusetts for a wedding on my mother's side. So its really nice to breathe and have a weekend here at the new place. But I don't have internet up yet, so I am at work using it, on a Friday night...pathetic. But that's okay. It's actually quite relaxing.
But good news is, I just met up with another CMU alum in downtown Princeton tonight!! Lauren Le Beau 03..anyone out there know her? We had a great time mention all the people we both knew (even though we never met there!). Too funny. Its amazing how small CMU gets.
Next week, I leave on Wednesday afternoon for Nashville where I will be in a wedding for my friend Meredith. Her wedding is on Saturday 6/24.
I am currently looking for a roommate to rent the other bedroom and bathroom in my new 2bdrm/2bath apartment in East Windsor. Rent is $575 + half of utilities. Any takers? It's pretty nice!! Has lots of windows, high up with a balcony over looking a lot of grass, with a wooded stream on the other side. And I live next to the Mayor of East Windsor. So you're safe living with me! (and the mayor). Believe me, I had to look long and hard for such a bargain around this neck of the woods!
I have my first overnight guests at the new place this Monday. Mom, Dad and Kurt are sleeping over on their way to Raleigh-Durham for a checkup.
Kurt has almost finished redoing my company's website. You can see the before and after by going to the following links. Feel free to provide input.
