My exhelent gift !!

I've been dying to tell people about the AWESOME gift (or should I saw gifts) from Incredibly Terrific Rocking-this-World Helen. I didn't want to post until my mom got a chance to see it in all it's cute glory, since she reads my journal. She finally saw it last night, so here goes!

They came assembled in these two very darling mini-suitcases decorated with a pattern of flip-flops and stripes. To follow in the flip-flop theme, there was a flip-flop shaped air freshener, flip flop picture frame, and flip flop shaped stationary! A perfect way to commemorate my reintroduction to flip-flops this past year since my pair as a little kid. A great addition to my beach/ocean suite of decorations at home.

As an extra souvenir to our first lighthouse challenge, Helen gave me a beautiful frosted and colored shot glass of the Lighthouses of New Jersey! All of them we visited on the 2005 New Jersey Lighthouse Challenge! This was Scotty, my car's first road trip, and Helen gave me an adorable stuffed scotty dog that barks when you press his paw!! He is the newest accessory to my car :)

One of our favorite events from Senior Week was the wine tasting tour. We had sooo much fun! And don't forget extending wine tasting to the Clippership! That was awesome. Helen gave me a great set of cards containing wine facts, recipes and other useful info about wine. Here's one: "Fill wine glasses no more than two-thirds full. The space at top of the glass gives room for the wine's full aroma." And i just thought it was so people wouldn't think you are lush ;) JK :P

Oh, i am not done yet!! At the very beginning of the year, we went to a party at the home of one of our sorority sisters in Philly. There was this guy, Ross, who kept making pirate jokes. AAARRrrrrrr! Helen gave me two rubberduckies outfitted in pirate costumes!! One has an eyepatch and is holding a gun, and the other has a hat with the notorious skull and crossed swords, and is holding a sword. I love rubberduckies, they are so cute! I immediately placed one on each side of my sink after I showed my mom. My dad went into the bathroom, noticed the new addition and jokingly asked if they had names. I name everything else in the world it seems. I haven't thought about these yet, so suggestions are welcome!

Helen included some brochures from her trip to San Diego over Thanksgiving and brochures she picked up while she has been recently working near Philly. On every road trip this past year, we went brochure crazy (alright, *I went brochure crazy, her diagnosis was mild in comparison!) So its great to have some new additions to the collection!

And last, but not least, a very squeezable stuffed snowman with 2005 embroidered on it. It will be my way to remember all the awesome times Helen and I had this past year. She's such a great friend, highly recommended! Thanks, Helen!
