Oh what the hell. Futuredated to Saturday
It was eerily quiet in school today. It was dark too, but wasn't it supposed to be morning?
Mir walked down a long hallway, peering through the darkness as he tried to see if anyone else was around. "Hello? Anyone here?"
"Over here, poyo~"
Mir looked to see Kirby, in human form, grinning at him. There was something odd about that smile, something he couldn't quite place. It seemed that he had gone back to his normal age again. Come to think of it, Mir was himself again too. When did that happen?
Well it didn't matter. Mir ran over to Kirby. "Kirby! The school seems oddly quiet today, huh?"
Kirby nodded. "Yeah. I think I know where everyone is though, poyo! Come on poyo!" With that, started down the hallway.
Mir was quick to follow. Eventually they made it to a room at the end of the hallway and kirby reached over and opened the door. The light was blinding after being in the dark hall for so long, but when Mir's eyes cleared, there were all the other students, including their friends, smiling at them.
Kirby walked in ahead of Mir. "Hiii everyone poyo!"
"Hey Kirby!" Everyone else called, grinning as they waved him over. As Kirby ran over to join them, Mir walked more quietly after him and closed the door behind them, smiling a bit as Kirby ran over to talk to the others. It seemed that no one had noticed him yet, not even Tails, who was laughing at some Kirby had just said, or Adeleine, who was beaming at Kirby. Mir frowned slightly and hesitated for a moment before heading over to them as well.
"Um, h-hey everyone."
As if in reaction to his voice, there was a sudden silence as they all suddenly looked at him. They all frowned, except Kirby who just looked confused at him.
"It's the copy." Meta Knight said coldly.
"What are you doing here?" Tails asked, frowning.
Mir took a step back. "Wh-what are you talking about? Copy?"
"Yes. Copy." Tails repeated, frowning. "That's all you are. You're not even a good one."
Mir felt cold. "I... I know I'm not Kirby, not the same Kirby, but I'm not a-"
"You're right poyo." Kirby said suddenly.
Mir stared at him.
"We look almost alike, poyo. We even have the same first name, poyo. We're nothing alike though." Kirby nodded, then he smiled cheerfully.
"That's why I'm better than you!"
"What-?!"
"You're always so gloomy poyo~ And who doesn't like sweets? You're such a freak poyo~!" It was amazing how cheerful he continued to sound while saying all of this. "Nobody likes to be friends with a gloomy freak like you poyo! Right, Adeleine?"
Adeleine had been watching Mir coldly the entire time. She smiled at Kirby briefly, and then finally spoke. "Well, I only really hung out with you because you looked like Kirby Mir. Now I realize though. You're not as much fun to be around as he is."
"Maybe you should go back to Mirrorland."
Tails nodded. "Yeah. Go back to Mirrorland. Shouldn't you be keeping an eye on Dark Mind's seal anyway?"
Wait, how did he know about-?
There was a crashing sound and suddenly everything went dark.
"What-?! What's going on now? Tails? Adeleine? Kirby?"
He started forward only to stop dead in his tracks when he heard a familiar cackle emanating from the darkness around him.
Awww, what's the matter? Is the little mirror puff all alone again?
And there he was. Dark Mind, floating above him. You really should have been watching that seal little boy!
Peering through the darkness, he thought he saw bodies lying under where the dark being was floating. No...
Now I can finish what I started months ago! All because you were too weak to defeat me then and there! The nightmare creature cackled more loudly. You're not just a pale immitation of that boy. You're useless as well! Now they can't help you even if they wanted to! I'd like to see you stop me alone this time! AHAHAHAHAHA!!
