so, we saw the dragon ball movie last night and it. was. awful. AWFUL. the worst thing ever. baaaarrrrrrrrrf. but that kind of awful that unites everyone (all ten of us) in the theater to the point where someone in the row ahead of us makes a snide comment and we're jumping up screaming, "I KNOW!!!! WHAT THE FUCK??!??!" which makes any movie way more fun. after calling me hateful and a vicious sadist, he changed his mind about being in charge of picking the next movie to being in charge of picking every movie we ever see. given that dragon ball was my idea and i wouldn't let him leave, i can kind of see where he was coming from.
totally adorable, he knows vegeta is my favorite dragon ball z character. he made some mention of it in the car on the way to the movie and said that he'd gotten something for me. i asked what it was and he told me to look down at his hand. in it was an adorable little keychain with a tiny vegeta and a tiny
porunga on it. this is awesome for many reasons beyond the fact that it was almost sickeningly sweet of him. a) the namek dragon is way fucking cooler than the earth dragon and b) vegeta's armor on planet namek is the coolest outfit in the entire dragon ball z series.
it feels weird letting people open doors for me and pay for me. i'm not good at just letting people be nice to me which comes off as unappreciative. boo. i must work on this.
on the downside, he's "not a touchy person." this is a bummer because i will touch the shit out of anyone who gets close enough and i am a sucker for holding hands. if it wouldn't be grossly inappropriate, i would make a point of establishing excessive, borderline needy, physical contact for the sake of being facetious. i may just end up doing it anyway and calling it desensitization.
