designer dry clean-only dress covered in beer and sweat: $150
brand new patent susan pumps stomped and scuffed to shit: $30
overpriced, impossibly weak drinks from a slutty bartender: $20
seeing the crystal method live in a scary bar with friends: priceless
that was actually about a week ago but i am bad at the internets. last thursday night i got all fancied up for the CAHS charity dinner/auction then ran screaming to the freedom of jen and marc's yukon to take on the night in inappropriate attire. we went and saw the crystal method at sugar bar which is like the worst place ever. if you've been there, you know. they are desperate to live the glamorous lives of an aspiring actor/actress/talent agent in downtown LA. flashing lights, scantily clad dancers, a scary man with free drinks at a "VIP table" who wants to kiss you with his scratchy-bearded rapist face... the works. it was a swell time.
the only downside is that i spent 9 hours on my feet in heels and 4 of those hours dancing/jumping/fighting for my life. when the lights finally kicked back on at 3 am, i felt like a grandma who would sell her soul for a walker and some sensible footwear.
totally worth it.
work has been just plain goofy the past week. we have a new manager and that's a long story. i worked way too many long closing shifts in a row, lost most of my sanity, then relinquished the remaining pieces after speding 45 minutes on the phone with a painfully quiet, indecisive woman whose dog can eat practically nothing in existence. today is finally my day off and i am grateful.
in good news, i got all As this quarter. my cumulative gpa climbed a whopping 0.04 points!
