Eps 1-3 are in draft form and ready for editing, while eps 4-7 are still in the works but mostly completed now. And it's 4 AM. >_<; Yeah, I think I'm going to bed now. But at least I'm almost done stuff before ep 8 became publically available. :P

btw ummm....one question....is seiran interested in Shuurei romantically ; does he show any signs of it in the novel? ^^

There are a couple of places where we get an idea of how he feels in the novels esp in vol... 4? 5? I can't recall exactly. But, in vol 4 we meet another new character who helps Shuurei travel to a particular town that she needs to reach. Shuurei finds him very frustrating but at the same time very attractive and before they part, he ends up giving her quite the kiss. Before he came into the picture, Seiran seems to have been under the impression that he could take his time and let Shuurei grow up etc., and eventually she'd be his. He didn't seem to consider Ryuuki a major threat either, but then, Shuurei's duties in Sa Province should have essentially kept her away from the capital for 3-5 years. a sexxy one but non the less he does come off as a cassanova. Though I do admit that one episode of him holding Kouyuu's hand and comforting him was super sweet T__T

the rotten one x_x is he the dude with long flowing reddish hair (on one of the novel covers?) cuz ewww No! he's got nothing on Seiran !

That's To Eigetsu. IIRC, I think he's originally from a tiny village in Koku (black) province and handily breaks Kouyuu's record of being the youngest person (he's 13) to pass the National Exams at the top of his class. Eigetsu actually has a lot of medical learning as well, but decides he wants to be a court official because he feels it'll pay better and he doesn't want to be poor. Eigetsu's also the one with the alcohol "problem". Ryuuren calls Eigetsu "Kokoro no tomo sono 2" or his spirit's/soul friend #2.

Hmm... At this stage I'm more of a Seiran / Shuurei shipper myself but then, I like Seiran's character a lot. ^^;; Not that I don't like Ryuuki, but he grew up so sheltered whereas Seiran's character has a lot more hidden to him so he's got that much more depth and interest for me. Still, both of these pairings will be quite difficult to have happen canonically in the way of marriage, so I'm curious to see how the story will develop in that sense.
The thing I'm finding with these books is that I can't seem to stop smiling / laughing while reading them. They're so cute and fun while still having some really solid story. ^___^
BTW, I was a *very* quiet Kyouru shipper. :P

So how many volumes of the novel are there? 9? 10? Does that also include the side stories? And I keep getting the idea that there's an impending love triangle between Seiran/Shuurei/Ryuuki ... I'm very curious to see how things progress (although, judging by what I've seen so far, canon does seem to point towards Ryuuki/Shuurei) ... do we get to learn a lot more about Seiran's character as the story progresses? For me, he's still quite shrouded in mystery... (Btw, does Shuurei know about he's Ryuuki's brother?)

From what I've determined so far, there are 10 novels - 2 of which are short story collections (vol 6 and 10). There are also 2.5 CD Dramas, the first has a special side story that takes place in the midst of book one. I'm hoping to translate that later as well as it's really sweet and funny. It's primarily and Seiran and Ryuuki side story although everyone else is in it. ^_^
We'll learn a bit more about Seiran in this next story, he's virtually non-existent in vol 3 but much more about him in vols 4 & 5 IIRC. Otherwise, as far as I'm aware, Shuurei doesn't know Seiran's true identity.

I'm glad that we'll get to find out more about Seiran! (Shame he isn't in Vol 3 much, but I guess I can always look forward to Vol 4 and 5!) I wish I was more competent in Japanese ... *sigh*
