Hakushaku to Yousei / Earl and Fairy
This is a tracking post of the various translations, summaries, and snippets I've done for Hakushaku to Yousei as well as general information for the series. Since I haven't decided whether I'll be posting my translations to my website, and since all of the translations are still drafts and not edited / ( Read more... )

Are you looking to edit these monsters? I confess the story's not my thing, but I could help out if you're looking for assistance.

^_^ I know this one's not your thing, which is why I've been refraining from bothering you. As it is, I'm not sure how much editing I want done yet. Not so much for the summaries, but I know the translations need work. Spelling inconsistencies and appellation issues are everywhere never mind tense and grammar issues. >.> Will be sure to let you know if I decide to go for editing. ^_^

^_^ Sees right through me, she does. Still, work's pretty quiet right now, and I don't want to let my grammar muscles get flabby. Cabana boys don't like flabby grammar muscles. ^_~

I downloaded the Bonus Drama CD clip today (from sendspace, the mediafire link wasn't working FYI) and I can't get the sound to play. I see the images (I'm using quicktime on my mac) and the sound is working on my computer, but not for this. Soo, am I an idiot and you didn't upload it with sound or is my quicktime being stubborn and not letting it play?

Hmm... it looks like it's a Quicktime issue. I can't even get image despite updating to the latest DivX codec with it. O_O I don't know if you have another player to try with...? (I know it plays on Realplayer, VLC, Windows Media Player, mplayer, and DivX player.) The other option is that I try converting to a different file format. I'm not sure if I can compile into a format other than *.avi though. (Haven't tried it before.)

I figured it was probably quicktime and I think we have Adobe media player on our computer, the problem is that I don't know how to make the video pop up in there instead of quicktime. Ah well, figured you might want to know anyway incase any one else was having this problem.

I'll see if I can compile into a different format this weekend. Since QT is Adobe, I'm not sure it'd make much difference using Adobe's media player or not. O_o Any specific file format preferred for that? I'm thinking about seeing if *.mp4 is possible. Not sure what other format might work. *.mkv maybe...? In any case, I won't know what's possible until I actually try things out. ^^;

Super translation job! ext_196012 June 27 2009, 22:19:38 UTC
Thank you very much for the hard work! I'm just glad the books are available via fan-translations! If you would like someone to proof them, please let me know, I'd be more than happy to help! (However, speed is not one of my greatest attributes XD!)
