dog collar, locked-in, drill sargent, and today!

On Thursday during US History Theresa and I were having the hardest time paying attention. Everyone was supposed to work on this Supreme Court case packet and we just couldn't concentrate. So when Theresa looked over at me a sung my arm to indicate a barrier and said that we needed a wall right here. Mr. Labarre heard that part of the conversation and looked at us and told me that I should get one of those collar things that dogs wear when they hurt themselves. They look like cones around the neck of the dog. WE all started laughing. It was probably the funniest thing that happened that day.

On Friday I got to advisory late, as usual. I had a little trouble opening the door, but managed to work my way in. Later during advisory (as in like 5 minutes)another person in my advisory had a hard time getting out. Mr. Neilligan stared joking around about it. Then another person had difficulty getting into the classroom. Mr. Neilligan had to leave for a doctor's appointment and Mr. Corona came in and took over the advisory. Someone from another advisory came in at about 9:30 to ask someone a question and tried to get out, but couldn't. So some of the guys in my advisory tried to open the door and couldn't either. Mr. Corona had Jen K. call down to his advisory to send someone down to open the door. It didn't work. We were locked in from both sides. Mr. Corona called down to the custodians. It took them about 15 minutes to get down. When they got to the advisory room all they did was take out the door knob. It was the weirdest moment of my life. It was also pretty funny.

On Saturday night I was down in the city with my family. My cousin, Eddie is 27 years old and in the air force. He is also a drill sargent. My 11 year old cousin asked Eddie to give him a drilled work-out. BIG MISTAKE. He said sure, but that it needed to be more realistic. In that he meant others had to join with him. So Nick and I decided to join. Shortly after, the rest of the cousins. There were 10 of us. BIG MISTAKE on our part. WE thought he has going to be easy on us and joking--NOPE. He made us do high knees for 5 minutes straight--and if you slowed down or messed-up, the whole group had to do another 30 seconds. Then he made us do this drill with three commands. Go-running in place, down-push-ups, and back-sit-ups. This went on for about 20 minutes. It was fun though because the cousins were joking around with each other and we all got a good work-out from it. He then made all of the aunts and uncles go because they were making fun of us while we were being drilled. The what goes on during our family get togethers.

Today was probably one of the best days I have had in a while. Amy and I got to Danto's house at about 7:30 this morning. He made us breakfast (eggs). Then he gave us a tour--including his "sanctuary". We watched a few movies and I fell asleep--like always :-) Then we had some pizza. The best was when Danto and I were talking about getting pizza delivered. Amy was like : what's delivered. For those of you that don't know, she lives in the middle of no where. Danto and I started laughing. Then at about noon Scott called and Danto asked him if he wanted ice cream. So We all met up with Scott and went out to get ice cream at the Stewart's. It was a nice...COLD walk. When we got to Stewart's Scott got Red Bull to drink. Has anyone ever had it before? Eww~sorry. I tried that stuff: gross. Then we stayed at Dantos' for a while before Amy and I had to ride bikes to school for track--because parents are still working at 2 on a wednesday. Great timing coaches! It was hilarious. Danto gave Amy a bike with a flat tire. Poor Amy. She couldn't ride that bike to save her life. We finally made it track though--and on time. Yeah for us!

Amy and I talking about the bikes:
Stardust12053 : i told my dad the truth kait!
Stardust12053 : i was so proud of myself
gecsedi 27 : and...?
Stardust12053 : he just laughed
gecsedi 27 : lol--that's it?
Stardust12053 : yes...he was no you didn;t where is the bike and i was liek in the back, and he was like waht the hell am i suppossed to do with a bike
Stardust12053 : and i told him not to worry about it
(Amy wasn't going to tell her Dad that we rode bikes from Danto's to school--and see if she could get away with having a random bike in the car:-P)

Hope everyone had a Super day off.

Oh, Saturday, March 19 at 3pm is game one of State Cup. If you are interested in cheering us on--or watching the game, let me know!
