EXTENDED PROFILE
» APPEARANCE: Naruto’s physical change from age 16 to 18 should not be too drastic, but the subtle differences are there. His hair is slightly longer and messier, his jaw stronger, and his build more toned. He isn’t very tall, but he would have grown at least another inch, making him 5’6’’ in height. He is still awkward and clumsy when he walks, and his mannerisms have not changed. He simply looks older, in a way that can only be seen through pictures, really. His eyes are still blue and his hair blond; he also has whisker marks on his cheeks that remain there permanently. Also, his
Kyuubi Seal has somehow remained on his body, despite not having Kyuubi in Atia. It doesn't do anything, really, but it's still there like a tattoo.
» PERSONALITY: Naruto’s many experiences since childhood allowed him to grow up and become someone who can easily relate to others. He has been through the good and the downright awful; through painful and wonderful days; and every time, he was still able to come out with a smile on his face, learning and growing from every moment. He has always believed that it is stupid to take life for granted, even if no one seems to be on your side. Even when he was alone and bitter as a kid, that bitterness and resentment evolved into something greater: strength. Although it was a horrifying way to live, Naruto knew he would have been a completely different person had he not been through constant rejection, and he doesn’t regret a single day of his past. That doesn’t mean he wouldn’t ask the Fourth Hokage to never have put Kyuubi in him in the first place… but that is a completely different matter.
On first impression, Naruto is a very friendly yet obnoxiously loud individual. He is not shy in the least bit and tends to speak his mind, no matter what the situation. Sometimes, his big mouth can get him into trouble, but it has also saved him with his inspirational and sympathetic words. He changes people’s lives with his simple and idealist thinking. It is hard not to love him after knowing him for a while, but at the same time those who cannot adapt to his behavior tend to dislike him more than necessary. Either way, it’s very clear to anyone what kind of a person Naruto is above all else: determined. His determination and will has yet to be matched by any other. Devotion to loved ones is one of the most important things to his teenage self because he knows how important it is to be surrounded by people who support him. He is the last person to ever let a friend down. He would go to the end of the earth, to the highest heavens, and to the deepest oceans before ever giving up in anything. When he says he will do something, he means it, even if the task seems absolutely impossible. To Naruto, not much is impossible, lest death or a very serious injury comes his way. Even then, he would rather endure the pain to complete his goals and promises. His determination helped shape him into a wonderful shinobi, as well. When he was younger, being a shinobi was more of a game than a serious career. Being Hokage has always been his dream, but as the years went on that dream turned into a definite goal, something he will become, no ifs, ands, or buts.
The most important people in his life, alone, make up "Naruto" the person. Without them, he would be an empty shell; a rejected, depressed mess, who would only be able to identify himself as a mere monster. Playing pranks used to be his way of ignoring his utter loneliness, but when that option failed him, nothing could get him out of his dark place, so the important people in his life were his saviors. Maturity changed that side of him. Though still cheerful, Naruto is no longer as silly and clueless as he used to be. In the Academy, he was always made fun of by his fellow peers for his poor lack of skill and intelligence, and the attention was rightfully given. That was way back, before Sasuke, Sakura, and Kakashi were ever in his life. Once his bonds with them grew stronger and he suddenly found himself surrounded with people who looked up to him, Naruto changed for the better. He became serious, calm, and very quixotic when need be. Perseverance remained as his middle name as he took his job as a shinobi with more heart than play. The kid finally grew up.
