So Tuesday night I went to see "Curse of the Golden Flower" with Ross, Dickie, Nick, and Kyle. It was not quite what we expected. The trailers had deceived us. First of all, with the way the emperor's palace looked I think this movie should have been called, "The Emperor and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Palace." Seriously, that thing was bright. And transluscent colored columns that displayed every color of the rainbow? That's a bit much. Anyway, I digress. The movie was essentially a Greek tragedy done in Chinese. The climax of the movie however was very awesome. Perhaps the coolest ninjas I have or will ever see (save for Naruto) were shown. From the moment the ninjas began fighting until the end of the battle sequence it was all very good. ......... then there was the denouement. The very very end of the movie left MUCH to be desired. But we only paid 5 bucks to see some really awesome ninjas. So that was cool.
In other news I just found out that the horror movie I played a supporting role in is slated to go to the Cannes Film Festival in March. ..... Needless to say I was rather surprised. I mean, it's a crappy slasher flick, but hey whatever. I had a small supporting role, but I'm still entitled to a cut of any profits the movie makes! Woo!
