Character songs part one (some of my characters are in hiding)
So remember way back when Mousie did her Character Songs? Since then, I've been slowly putting together a list of songs and the characters they match. I thought I might post what I have already. There are more characters I want to do, but the second they heard about this strange "song" thing as they put it they ran and hid. Once I root them out, I'll post some songs for them too. I'm not sure why I used emoticons for lj-cut links. ^^;
My sister insisted that I take at least one day of rest before I go into intensive homework mode (I have no classes tomorrow or Tuesday and I'm using the opportunity to either finish or make headway on major assignments) since I'm getting sick and I've been having anxiety attacks again. When I was searching for a song for Von to sing while hunting, I came across this song in my playlist. My sister and I listened to the first two verses, stared at each other and declared this song perfect for Von and Barrick. Ever since they broke up, Von has watched every move Barrick has taken. And I’m learning, slowly, that Von’s intentions and emotions towards Barrick are just a little more twisted and deeper than I originally thought.

After Von kidnapped Barrick and tortured him, Barrick went through several stages. Once the initial shock of what had happened to him faded away, Barrick went through a period of denial. He didn’t want to believe that the Von he thought he loved (the façade Von put on for him). This song suits him best towards the end of his denial when he actually began to admit that his family was right but some part of him-to this day-still feels for Von and holds the memories of good times close.

This song fits something that’s going to happen in the future. When Luka and Bryony are about seven years old, their father approaches Rika asking to get together again. He also asks for shared custody of her children, trying to claim his “right” as the biological father. Rika turns Seth (not Barrick’s friend Seth, a different one) away. She never forgave him for telling her to get an abortion when she first became pregnant, for abandoning her when she refused, and for his early attempts not to pay child support. Rejecting Seth’s requests, Rika states quite clearly that she’s living a new life with someone else (a certain green-haired fey?) and also states that after seven years of not giving a damn about Luka and Bryony he has no right to see them. After this, a war begins between the two of them, each battle ending with Rika saying, “I have no time left for you.”

I’m not sure if I want to spoil what her career is, but if you really want to know ask. I just won’t tell you how she got there. “I say don’t run from yourself, man, that’s no way to live” Andrea by this point has finally stopped running away from all her past problems, her fears, her hurts for the most part. “You get what you’re given/It’s all how you use it” She finally accepts that she is her own person by this point as well, and stops comparing herself to others. That’s not to say she doesn’t have her moments. But yeah, it’s all in her attitude.

A touch spoiled, and very particular about the people she’s together with, Mist had turned down over ninety different suitors before Kane to see her clan about some sort of dispute. What few relationships she had were fast, hard, and sweaty, which is what she tried for with Kane. Unbeknownst to Kane, she’d had her eye on him for a long time. Suspected by Kane (at a later date), Mist manipulated him into a closet where she knew her mother would catch them in various states of undress. She wanted to test how far Kane would go for her knowing that her parents would forbid them from meeting and knowing the relationship between her clan and the other Elven clans were delicate, depending on Kane’s negotiations. Mist got what she wanted but bit off more than she could chew with Kane, who, unlike her other few lovers matched her stubborn personality and eventually wore her down into loving him.
