Sorry for being away so much. Just to let you know, all family situations are good again (my mother is well and back on her own).
Now I just have the chaos of term papers. God, I hate research papers with a passion. I have one due each week of November that need to be started. -_-;
Today was an interesting day at work. The fire alarm was set off for an hour (no fire though), so we had to lock the store and go outside until the firemen came (which took an hour). And they're cutting my hours. Now, if you didn't already know I work two days a week, and I barely work fifteen hours all for minimum wage. Starting next week I will no longer be working on Saturdays to allow for another full-timer to take my place.
I hate my work, but this does upset me a little. As much as I do hate my job, I do need the money and I like the people. And I'm always cheerful when I'm working, so my manager isn't aware of my hatred for my work.
But whatever. I intend on apply to the local library, and my school for a job soon to see if I can at least find work I enjoy for minimum wage. And I encountered interesting new prospects today. The local comic book store and the strategic gaming store are both thinking of hiring once they have a little more cash. So I'll be dropping off resumes there. I'd love to work in a comic book store. <3
I miss reading RaTs stories so much! T-T I can't wait until I have time (and energy) to read them again. For now I've been keep track of all the stories I've missed and I'm adding them to my catch up list. Christmas break will be pretty intense. I want to see if I can get close to two hundred back entries caught up in a week when I have the time. It'll be a challenge I look forward to.
